Calling someone ******, liar, dummy, ducking, those are all part of your schtick here. When you have no other argument it's insult time. I can show you endless examples of you doing this if you like.

I don't duck anyone just because I'm tired of repeating myself or tired of seeing the same old tired sources that don't prove anything from you. McKetrick writes a newspaper article about a fighter he manages and you take everything he says at gospel. Talk about gullible. He was the epitome of the snake-oil salesman boxing manager of his day. You invest all of your confidence in anonymous news clippings with no writer or author credentials, so just about anyone could say anything and never have to quantify it. You paraphrase quotes, you think that what was true today would be true tomorrow, and hold those quotes as irrefutable truth. You can keep crying and keep name calling, but it won't get you anywhere. I'll just double down on trolling your pathetic ass and keep you running in circles. You've proven nothing in your hundreds of posts except that you think you are never wrong and that you only trust sources so long as they support your agenda.
Dude. You just went round in circles in this thread or the other claiming that you answered the obvious question that both I and another poster asked you.....

we both kept repeating that you didn't answer the question.

If that's not ducking, then I'm sorry. I don't know what is. It seems you try to convince yourself of things that aren't true simply because they fit your agenda.

You have the nerve to talk about McKetrick writing a newspaper article? Please let me know what did he say that was outlandish in that article?

Let me guess. This is where you duck again?

The only thing McKetrick said was that the Jeannette/Johnson fight would be for the championship, and that made you feel some kind of way because you needed it to be not for the championship to fit your agenda, so you went on this big rant about McKetric, being a liar. But you won't explain what the hell he has to gain by lying about a proposed fight for his charge being for the Heavyweight title.

    Please make it make sense!

This is the McKetrick article that I posted. Please tell me what part of this you believe is a lie and why. Since you brought it up, I don't think we should have a problem discussing it, right?

I answered the redundant question that both you and the other poster asked, multiple times. You didn't like the answer. I said Dempsey was better. Not sure how much more clear I can make that. Each time I answer a question you try to frame it a different way until you get the answer you want. I'm not playing that game.

McKetrick is on record as saying Jeannette was the HW champion after Johnson announced one of his retirements, which was also B.S. The article clearly states he is claiming Jeannette as the champion. He was a known hustler and like many managers and promoters was prone to taking liberties with the truth.

Dempsey was the champion. I'm pretty sure we were talking about an opponent.

And no chance in hell that Dempsey's resume was better than Wills. Keep dreaming.

Ok. But please explain why he would lie about the agreed to fight being for the championship? Why would he agree to a fight that was not for the championship and hide that from Joe Jeannette? That makes absolutely no sense. Can you explain it to me?

See, I answered the question several times and you disagree. That's all you had to do the first 9 times I answered it, instead of insisting I didn't answer. I think Dempsey's was better, you can cry about that all you want, doesn't change my opinion.

McKetrick also states Jeannette was 165 when he last fought Johnson, is that true? Because your boy Ivach certainly doesn't agree. Is McKetrick lying here? He is lying in the article, he is saying that Johnson agreed to the fight because the public has accepted Jeannette as the true HW champion. Right there he is full of shyt, there was no public consensus acknowledging or claiming Jeannette as the true HW champion. The article is all grandiose self-promotion trying to sell a fight that isn't happening, especially on his terms. He even states he's been chasing Johnson for two years and to no avail. It's obvious Johnson never wanted those fights and found ways to avoid them.

Yes he found ways to avoid them by signing articles for them and posting cash bonds !lol If he didn't want to fight them why bother to do that in the first place? Nobody was forcing him to fight any black challenger were they?

He demanded forfeits and side bets he knew they didn't have the money to cover. He holds his ground on $30K for Jeannette, Langford and McVey, yet compromises that for $1,000 for Battling Jim.

Cash bonds were standard procedure in those days Sullivan, Corbett, Fitzsimmons,Jeffries all did it.You talk as though it was unique to Johnson. That fight with battling Jim has you transfixed ,you're like a dog with a bone.Johnson was skint took a chance on a deal, and it backfired on him.
Jeffries did the same thing when he fought Jack Munroe, and said he would retire rather than fight for that amount of money again.
You're not rational on this subject Mate.

That fight with Battling Jim is the smoking gun and you and Travesty placed it at my feet. Damn right I'm going to play that card, it proves that Johnson was full of shyt when he set such high demands for Langford, Jeannette and McVey but made a huge exception for Battling Jim. Johnson wasn't taking a chance on anything, and if he did, it makes him look like more of a fraud. Jeannette offered him $20K the year prior and Johnson balked at it. Johnson has a history of reneging on contracts as he did with the first contract for Langford promised a title fight. From then on he founds ways to avoid him.
