  • Is Pacquiao top 10 AT? Top 20? Top 30?

How high does Pacquiao rank on the AT P4P list? For sure Pac is no welterweight, but beat many good legitimate ones. I am pretty sure he could still be fighting at lightweight, if that had been his choice. There is little doubt he would have been a top 5 AT lightweight, and would probably be undefeated in the division. Rank him.

He would have to be in the top 10 all time. His resume speaks for itself.

He hits the qualifiers fine. That is, he fought anyone without excuses or stalling. That has to count for much.

        - - Manny grew up in abject 3rd world starvation. He lost his flyweight title on the scales and jumped 3 divisions for his next fight for reference of his beginnings.

He jumped two divisions on short notice to replace the mental breakdown of Floydy for the Oscar rematch. Like he told Freddie, "I ain't cuttin' no weight ever again" though he did a one and done at Ricky's best undefeated weight, 140.

Holds every Ring record for P4P bouts.

Spent the last decade of his career as a full time Congressman representing the Philippines.

I'd say Manny is beyond rankings.

So I ask myself who is better at 130? Floyd or Manny. Its not easy to answer. If pressed to the wall I would probably say Floyd. At Welter Manny is better but as you said... "Pac is not really a welter at his best.

When we look at the totality of competition fought, willingness to fight etc Pac gets a lot of credit... But when we go to ATG type stuff we really need a weight don't we? There are a few exceptions... Ray Robinson Gene Tunney are guys that could be ATG in at least two weight classes...But most fighters they need a weight class where they are in the top running.

Manny is a great fighter but it has to be at lightweight and there are better guys there like Duran and yes... Mayweather.

                  1. Langford
                  2. Greb
                  3. Robinson
                  4. Armstrong
                  5. Charles
                  6. Pep
                  7. B. Leonard
                  8. Duran
                  9. Gans
                  10. Moore
                  11. Walker
                  12. R. Leonard
                  13. Ross
                  14. Mayweather
                  15. Conn
                  16. Canzoneri
                  17. Jones
                  18. Pacquiao
                  19. Monzon
                  20. Tunney

This was my last top 20 p4p list. But I'll be damned if many of the points being made here aren't compelling me to move Pacquiao up to the ninth spot and move everyone below down a notch. I personally can't justify putting him higher, but he surely ranks higher than I originally gave him credit for.
