It's bad enough that producers sell out to the Christians (rating system) but at least they're Americans. Lol (I know, I know that was probably a racist remark or at least jingoist. )
Facebook and Twitter are banned there I think. Makes me think I should move there.

      - - Nothing like a ripe Teddy Roosevelt jingoist facsimile providing context to holier than thou correctness, but Murray Woroner filmed two Ali/Rocky endings~ Rocky stopping Ali for the US market, and Ali stopping Rocky for the Euro market, and made truckloads of dough doing it.

I followed the blow by blow in bed at night with my little transistor and then in the AM in the sports section of the paper. Even as a kid I knew it was a bunch of hokum, but it was blue ribbon hokum sugared with computers, a win/win for me save I thought either Jack Dempsey or Joe Louis should've won.

I heard they filmed several endings to the fight with the fighters themselves unaware which ending would be viewd.

The computer final was originally Rocky stopping Dempsey - with Dempsey previously stopping Ali in the semi-finals, so I thought.

But when an offer 'to film' opportunity came along the backers were only interested in an Ali vs. 'someone' deal so the results were altered and Dempsey was out, so I thought.

P.S. King Kong vs. Godzilla (1950s version) movie had two endings, American and Japanese. No clue how they handled it this time around.

          Interesting

I would guess Jack would be a better draw than Rocky. Out because they wanted the actual fighters? No one could stand-in for Dempsey and just do what Dempsey is said to have done by the computer?

PS-reply I heard that's actually a myth. I wouldn't know one way or the other.

By forum consensus, then, Duran is an all time top 10 welterweight. Not bad.

The rumor of that double ending for King Kong vs. Godzilla was proven to be false I believe. They made the ending for it intentionally dubious. Yes, King Kong gets out of the water, while Godzilla doesn’t. But that’s because was forced into a sort of hibernation state. More of a technical victory than a definitive beatdown.

LOL Which film the original or the remake? I guess in that universe Godzilla can't ever actually win because he has the tendency to destroy cities and send thousands of Japanese screaming through the streets. Kong on the other hand could be a nice guy if you didn't fuc with him (and there was a babe around.)
