[EDIT] Only the HWs. Is it wrong to think the HWs are the ones most likely to die early?
Went to the Ring Magazine's annual rankings - of the 11 listed fighters for 1980 six are dead - three died while in their 50s. Three 65+
Things get better in '81 and '82 . . . Three new names appear in '81, all alive, and two new names in '82, still kicking.
'83 has two new names with one dead.
So that's 18 fighters with seven dead.
1984 has two new names one dead at 43.
20 fighters, eight dead.
1985 has three new names with one dead at 53.
Six years, 23 fighters with nine dead.
They're not doing so good.
P.S. Who is Marty Monroe? Not sure if he is still kicking or not.
