    - -I'm specifically referencing 3 American fighters fighting on French soil in relation to Carpentier in their shared era.

I never referenced the IBU, instead noting the exceptions in that one specific Carpentier reference used by you in condemnation of his career.

I shouldn't have to tuck in your bib and spoon feed you on a boxing forum, a bit unseemly that.

Because, you dumb ****er, I made a statement about the IBU's structure and corruption. You're talking about but dey let siki win doe. They're loosely related at best. I'm sorry my post inspired you to talk about something not that damn connected to what you quoted. I'm sorry you're too ****** to give a direct response. I'm not going into Georges resume because Georges resume has **** all to do with anything I said and I gave him credit for his wins.

So take yer ****** barely ****ing relevant side argument, turn it sideways, shove it up yer candy ass.

You know what is no defense for Primo being criticized for cheating or mafia involvement? But dey let him lose doe is real ****ing ****** beside the point argument to make huh? Welcome to my world of responding to dumb ****ers who can't handle context let alone a debate.

no knock on the man or the fighter, he was obviously good. But I don't think that version fares any better than the version who eventually lost to Tunney. A good fighter, but not even an elite of his time. Tunney, like Greb, Loughran, Gibbons and others were the top of the lightheavy weight food chain. Carpentier for all his fame was a second teir fighter compared to these guys....in my opinion.
The French needed a pug they could call their own... and not one pulled from the docs of Marseilles who practiced Savate. Carpentier imo was sort of the Sean Porter of his day. Keeping in mind whom he lost to... he was obviously solid and had skills. But when your fighting guys like the above...

You bring it out of people being such an a s s. M works hard, does real cutting edge research and constantly has to contend with agendas that virtually never address points made. One does not need to delve into any particular fighter to see the point made. Nor does one have to know about french officiating.

Dude... His comment was about the ranking system and how it determined who got to fight... why bring up French officiating?

He brought up Carpentier's name in a derogatory fashion to demean with the French tarred as well. I filled him in on a great epoch of Georges, Battling Siki, Joe Jeanette, Sam Langford, Sam McVey fighting all while champion JJohnson was using his gloves stuffed into a pillow as part of his recliner.

Why don't U go huddle with Salinger, Ginsberg, and Kerouac with a warm bottle of Hennessy to formulate a better response, but at $5K a pop, remember to elaborately sniff before a sip...
