    Leagues and Divisions Galore

    Come one, come all!

We don't need fewer divisions, we need more. There should be a division for every pound a man can make, and a league for every freak. You want champions, eh? Well, this will breed thoroughbreds galore. Open the sport up, ****** boys. There are men and ladies of a mere 4 stone who would love to give you a good thrashing, and some of 25 stone who will iron you out flat.

Another thing, do you really feel there are enough referees in the ring when there is only one? Why not give each man his own referee? Give me one good reason why not, or two mediocre reasons.

I wouldn't mind some kind of league if it forced the best to fight the best. Also, I think all top fighters should be boxing 3-4 times per year, 1-2 fights per year is not enough. All top boxers should be retiring with 50-70 fights, not 20-30. Too few fights these days. Do guys really need 12-week camps to knock over a rubbish mando? Less training camps, more fights. The idea of a league is interesting. I think it would be good to have a fighter take their opponents ranking if they beat someone higher up the league... And they should insist on you being either 1 or 2 ranked contender to get a shot at the title.

Who would decide who is #1 and #2?

Does being a professional fighter deem it mandatory that you retire with brain damage? 50-70 pro fights? Have you ever fought in a sanctioned ring before?

The first 15 or so fights of most guys careers are just journeyman. Then add in a ton of crap Mando's. Yes, 50 fights plus. Mayweather hit that number, Wlad did much more. If you want guys having 15 fight careers, then enjoy that! Nash out.

Look at James, many wins and too much slurring in his speech, a great defensive fighter though. As well as an all-time great.

Where did I ever state that a fighter should only have 15 bouts?

You never answered my original question.

I just think that in general boxers have way to few fights, that's why a lot of them generate so little fanbase. They aren't active enough. Nash out.

Maybe they should fight more and spar less? But that would just produce lesser fighters.

Funk it, if I had it all to do again I would have continued on and never walked away.

But demanding that they fight more is kind of sadistic, in my opinion.

James is an all-time great IMO, but there is a price that most will pay to achieve that status. And it is not a currency that is paid, it is paid with your mind and your physical (and mental) abilities. It appears as though James has paid that price.............Rockin'
