  • Great Fighters Who Had Less Then Fifty Wins?

Obviously most of the great that I can think of have at least fifty wins but there are exceptions, like Sugar Ray Leonard with 36 and Rocky Marciano with 49. Salvador Sanchez would be another with 44 although his life was cut short or otherwise it't highly likely that he would have gained fifty wins and probably more. Can you think of any others and is this a good staple for greatness? Even modern-day guys like Mayweather, Pacquiao and Canelo all have fifty wins or more.

      - -Lazlo Papp, JJ Jeffries and Corbett.

Edwin Valero 27 fights, 27 wins, 27 KOs, 3 perfect cubes of 3.

        Some names I though of-
Lennox Lewis (not even 50 fights)
Pernell Whitaker (not even 50 fights)
Michael Spinks (not even 40 fights)
        Aaron Pryor (barely 40 fights)
Joe Frazier (not even 40 fights)
Andre Ward (not even 40 fights)

Not to mention some guys who will probably end up in upstate New York who are a ways away
GGG- only 43 pro fights but darn near 40 years old now- though an extended amateur career explains that
Bud Crawford- would have to win two fights a year until he is 40 to reach the mark

In addition, there are a plethora of borderline HOF type guys now who will probably not hit 50 fights

Both Loma and Lopez could retire wealthy with less than 25 fights (but not necessarily ATG).

              Felix Trinidad
              Pernell Whitaker
              Evander Holyfield

If you count Terry Norris or Meldrick Taylor they had less than 50 wins.

I count Loma and Rigo as ATG, as I consider their Olympic credentials as well as pro titles.

                Marciano seems super obvious.

                  - -Loma HOF worthy from his 2nd fight forward when he first exposed pro boxing for the ****** dirty sport it was.

Rigormortis is burial worthy, not HOF worthy. Nobody wants to watch the growing stink around his aborted career. He never dared to be great any more than GRusset Jr, two forever lost projects that never panned out.
