Was it the Buster Douglas fight that proved Tyson wasn't invincible or his loss/es to Holyfield that may have proved that he might have been overrated?
Which opponent loss was a bigger blow to Mike Tyson's mystique and legacy, Buster Douglas or Holyfield?

To his aura of invincibility Douglas . . . to his legacy Holyfield.
Had he blown out Holyfield like the Tyson of the 80s Douglas would be remembered as a 'bad night.' Now we know it was more than that. -
Ultimately Evander dominating him like that was worse in my eyes. Neither were at the absolute peak of their careers at that point, but it gave a very clear and definitive picture of their worth as ATG's and how much greater one was. Douglas was so bad for most of his career that the pathetic excuses for Tyson actually hold more weight. But Evander doing that to him makes it obvious that he would have done that to Tyson at any point in their careers.Comment

Buster "don't talk about my mama" Douglas... Did it first, did it as though he went to that crossroad on the highway and met the devil himself... asked for one night of perfection.Comment
