I simply dont think Bowes defence is good enough to beat Tyson. He had a tendensy to get tagged on the inside which wouldnt help either. Tyson has faced big strong punching guys before and got through i think the same would happen as i cant see Bowes method of fighting beating Tyson.

    Mid round Stoppage.

No way. Tyson didn't punch that hard. A prime Bowe had a concrete chin. Bowe had a massive height and reach advantage and he could use it well. No way Tyson could get past that jab. And face it-Bowe's power would be too much for Tyson. We would see Tyson-Douglas 2. Only this time Tyson would probably get stopped sooner. 6th round perhaps.

Tyson punched very hard, but more importantly what he did in his prime was punch in bunches and punch accuratley with great speed. Against a Bowe with not a great defence and that gets pulled into brawls this would be even more effective.

Yes Bowe has a powerfull punch but so did Bruno and Ruddock, but you can just land a couple of shots on Tyson you needed to dominate him and i cant see Bowe doing this. We wouldnt see Tyson-Douglas 2 because Bowe fights nothing like Douglas plus this is a prime Tyson, styles can dictate fights and Bowe does not have the right style (plus his heavy footed). Bowe would be pulled into a brawl and be TKO'd.

Don't compare Bruno and Ruddock to Bowe! They were nowhere near a prime Bowe. They were good fighters in their own right, but a prime Bowe was a BEAST!

And besides, Bowe was bigger than both.

I Compared them in punching power, which i think is fair. Being big isnt really a factor in beating Tyson anyway.

Id say its fair but the problem there is.............Ruddock, Bruno allowed themselves to get backed up and we all now that you dont have the same power/leverage when your weight is on your backfoot as apose to the front foot.

Bowe would not let Tyson back him because Bowe never let anyone back him up that i can remember.

Not being backed up is one thing, but not getting hit when you meet Tyson in the middle is another and i dont think he had a good enough defence not to get hit. Im pretty sure 'Vander pushed him back.

I think Bowe would have beaten him also. Moorer might have beaten him too back then.....Holyfield did and Lewis would have done the same thing he did to him in 03 or whenever that was back in the mid 90s too. Tyson was grossly overrated overall. Yes he was ferocious and had huge power but was never a very good boxer.....
