I like Fitz as a LHW personally so he's gone and redone the rest for you as you were obviously confused on the rest, Greb @ 7 tsk tsk.

Zale in the top 10 suprises me, tough guy but he was middle of the top ten in his era let alone all time IMO.
Honestly? Fitz was passed it when he fought in the new Light-Heavyweight division. Zale is interesting: He's underrated a lot these days, not quite sure when that started to happen as I remember him being highly thought of as recently as the 1970s.

Oh yes he was an old man when he actually fought at Light Heavy its just I think that is a perfect weight for him, bit like your Patterson thread.
Re Zale it was such a golden age for MW's had he have fought the guys around at that time I don't think he would have had a long reign. I would have fancied Cerdan against him long before they actually fought. Throw in your Burleys etc and I don't think he stacks up well even in his era. Not putting the guy down, he was one tough mofo but a hell of a deep reservoir of talent to show at top 10 IMO.
I've just realised I need to shoehorn Langford into "our" MW list

McCrory I don't rate as highly. He was a huge welterweight but it also led to him being weight-drained. By the time he fought Curry, he had no punch resistance whatsoever. I have however always been impressed with the left hook Curry finished off with, one of the best left hooks you'll ever see.
Remember it like yesterday.. McCrory had just about got up after the initial KD, & was standing in the middle of the ring semi concious, just gazing into space with his hands by his sides.. The ref then invited Curry to smash him in the mouth like a fairground punch ball.. I can't remember who the ref was, but he could of got McCrory killed that night.. Sure it was a great left hook, but similar to punching the head off a shop dummy..

The left hook was actually the one that Curry knocked McCrory down with at first and the referee should have stopped it at that point. The follow-up punch was practically a free shot at a defenseless opponent.

Thanks for the vid.. I needed to see that again.. My memory just isn't up to scratch these days.. It was Mills Lane.. No surprises there then..
That has to be one of the fastest left hooks of all time.. It's less than a second on the slow motion replay!.... Strange & sad how Curry faded so rapidly, soon afterwards...

                Here's mine -

                Robinson
                Armstrong
                Napoles
                Basillo
                Breland
                Leonard
                Hearns
                Ross
                McClarinin

Greb was a great fight in middleweight D if he fought at welter id put him in there as well.

I wouldn't have him top 10 but he does seem to get forgotten a bit, hell of a fighter a shorter prime than most of the ATG's mentioned.
He certainly saw off a couple of our boys.

I liked Hearns at 154, I wouldn't argue with him in the top half dozen at that weight but its a big ask at WW considering we are seeing how deep it has been for talent.
Yeah, there's probably a little hidden bias for Palomino.. Oweing to the fact he was giving our boys a boxing lesson at around the time I'd just got in to the sport..
John H was fairly underrated to.. A big puncher who had beaten Hedgeman Lewis & Jose Napoles.. Palomino took the title from a very good fighter indeed, with some of the best body attack I've ever seen.. He also had a granite chin & during his prime would have been very difficult to beat in any era.. I may have overrated him a tadge though..

I'll stick with what I've said about Trinidad though.. I'd say he's one of the most underrated fighters out there.. He was an absolute beast at 147, & went through the division like the Grim Reaper.. 16 defenses, nearly all KO's during a 7 year reign.. In fact, he was never once beaten at WW.. I suppose there could be an argument for the DLH fight, but Trinidad was struggling to make the weight by then..
I think he'd have comfortably beaten Gavilan, McLarnin, McFarland, Zivic, Ryan, Walcott, Ross or any of the other small welters..
50/50 fights would be against Hearns, Napoles & maybe Griffith with his ability to nullify power..
The 2 sugars would probably win close DC's & Armstrong, an even closer one..

Hearns Trinidad at 154 would have been a mouth watering prospect.. I'd favour Tommy at this weight, but I'd edge towards Tito at 147..

Interesting as 147 is usually considered Hearn's best weight.

Can any 147 fighter beat Robinson for undisputed title prime for prime?
