Have to say I am a huge Ali fan but I think Norton beat him in all 3 fights.
At least that was my memory from the time I have to admit that I haven't seen the fights in years though.

I thought he won the second fight:

Part 2 is a little sped up

        How would you score it?

Thanks will watch it and let you know, bring back memories at the very least.
Must admit 2nd fight was the one I remember least, just have a recollection that it was close and Norton shaded it IMO.
If anyone can convince me that Ali won the 3rd I will admit that my memory is going for sure.

I agree that Liston was doing okay in the first fight. He probably hurt Ali more than anyone before his licence was revoked in 1967. A lot of hard body shots and a few head shots that even if they didn't land solid, they landed and did some damage.

the only robbery that occured in the doug jones fight was the judges scoring it as close as they did, that was certainly criminal.I never understood how great fACIAL DEfENSE scores you rounds

I thought he lost the third norton fight by a round but again it's not controversial if it's close is it?

I had shavers just ahead after the first 8 rounds by a round where neither did **** in those rounds just earnie did more with some of the hardest shots he's ever throw which he failed to capitilise on.ali clearly did alot more in the last 7 rounds in terms of agression, speed, power and accuracy

the jimmy young fight clear loss as far as I am concerned for ali here as far as I am concerned.Young was a no namer with a poor record who took advantage of a fat out of shape ali by poking ali in the belly for most of the fight and they were looking for the big money fight with norton and ali and they didnt want this guy hashing things up

**** decision I have seen worse but **** decision none the less

although there is alot of hypocrisy's here especially considering some people think jimmy young got robbed but argue that de la hoya and ray leonard didn't do enough or the decisions in their respective ights with trinidad and hagler

              must be that star factor

With regards to your Norton comment Cassius I think it wouldn't be all that controversial given that there was only a round or two in it, however it seems that almost everyone gives that round or two to Norton, some may even have it by a tad more than that. There just doesn't seem to be anyone that says 'it was close but Ali definately won'

I agree though that the star factor may have a bit to do with it.

I'll just give my comments about some of them for now:
                  ...
As for the Thrilla: i guess i have given Ali the 1,2,4,11-14 and Frazier 3,5-10 rounds, so as for me, the fight was even at the time of stoppage.

In the Foreman fight i gave 3 rounds to Foreman and three to Ai with on to go either way (that would be rather Ali`s way ). If Foreman survived the 8th round i would have given it to him, and the fight would be even...

The third Norton fight should be a loss on Ali`s record, though very close...

I thought he lost the first and third Norton fights, the third most clearly, I had Norton winning by 2 point in their first fight, I had Ali winning the second by a point.

I thought the Young fight was closer than some people make it out to be, the scoring of the fight in favor of Ali was pretty bad though.

Had Ali losing the first Frazier fight clearly, winning the third fight clearly before the stoppage.

Thought Ali won the Jones fight clearly.

I have always wondered why people say Ali dominated Liston i had it very close before Liston hurt his shoulder, and the 2nd fight Liston was a **** up due to Wallcott who i never thought was a good ref. I agree as well that Norton probably should have been given the 3rd Ali fight.
