** The operative question everyone wants to know so as to proceed properly is, "What grade are you in?"

The Great A graciously creates a brilliant historical link for us to discuss Jeffries at his best, and all you want to do is impersonate a turd in a punchbowl.

I'm here to tell you junior that you couldn't even carry Barbie's jock strap much less Ken's as far as understanding boxing and it's history.

Tell you what kid, go get your minder to create a Jeffries ducked Johnson thread and I'll be more than happy to watch you burst into tears as the truth is revealed.

** Oh, and Jab, speaking as both a Jeff and George fan, have to favor George in a fantasy dustup unless Jeff has a year to acclimate to modern styles and sizes. His chin was never tested at the level of Foreman, and he never had to fight a good really big man, and George was a great big man in his fashion.

Adjusting for eras, they are almost like twins in their natural attributes and the way their careers went save George slipping against Ali before retiring.

jeffries was good for his time but he wouldnt have been able to avoid georges shots, his defence wasnt good enough, george would land big almost straight up, push him onto the ropes and batter him relentlessly

and no im not being biased against old timers, im just telling it like it is, georgie would fuck his world up

Going by EVERY account available Jeffries stamina and chin were of the very best ever. I also think you are underestimating Jeff's skills as he was never a plodder or a fighter to stand right in front of his man. Im not saying Jeffries wins this fight, but given his chin, skills and stamina....what happens if George doesn't get him out early? This isn't Gregorio Peralta or even Ron Lyle that we're talking about here.

jeffries never fought a fighter who could hit as hard as george, jeffries might have looked good against fighters from that era, but against foreman he would have been in serious trouble

Perhaps the more interesting scenario is what, if anything, Foreman would've done to prime Jack Johnson?

the whole country watched the fight so dont tell me only 6 people care.....

and jim jeffries ****** bad......who did he beat......talk about johnsons size advantage he was at least 20 pounds smaller then jeffries in his prime.......jim jeffries was just a fat farmer bum beater....

                  to johnson vs foreman

jack johnson is not a top 5 heavy but george foreman cant beat anyone who moves which is what johnson did...look at all foremans losses to the same type of fighter

They thought so much of Jeffries that even after a SIX YEAR LAYOFF they figured he ought to be able to beat Johnson. Who did Jeffries beat? Well he was 7-1-1 against Hall Of Famers, for starters.

Johnson made his name off of guys who wouldn't even be middleweights today and one old, fat, retired 6 year layoff ATG HW. If he wasn't the first black HW champ (huge accomplishment beating a 5'7", 168 lb midget,) and if people didn't overrate his win over Jeffries, no one would have a clue who he was.

And sorry chump, Jeffries beats Johnson, but Foreman annihilates him.

Which one is Jefferies? They are both in black. Is he the shorter one?
