Marciano was and is a legend because you don't measure a fighter against other fighters of other era's, you measure them against their own era.

Marciano was a beast, he might not have had the size but he was a warrior.

I also made a comparison between Bernard Hopkins (vs Calzaghe) and Jack Johnson. As you can probably imagine, Hopkins' clinching and Calzaghe's slapping didn't look too good on grainy, black & white film.

I had trouble uploading it though, I'll see if I can put it up on youtube sometime soon.

            ZING

That's exactly right and since no one was as consistent as in their own era as Marciano was he deserves to be considered one of the greatest of all time.

Right cause Wlad fights exactly like those guys. Apparently you didn't see how Shane cracked Tony's chin. It was his style that did it. He broke Tony to the body, controlled him on the inside and ultimately got the KO. Given Wlad's style, a puncher's chance seems logical.

Idiotic statements? How are "A puncher always has a chance" and "The sport has evolved" idiotic statements? Idiotic are people that argue those points after we've seen them proved time after time.

For starters Foreman, Liston and Shavers were all better fighters AND harder punchers than Wlad so you're point is idiotic since you're saying he can do something that better men had tried and failed to do. Further, Mosley didn't "crack" Margarito's chin he piled up an accumulation of punches that took it's toll. Wlad would not be accumulating punches on Ali: He was neither fast enough or good enough.

You spout phrases that you have little understanding of the meaning of. Nothing you have said represents the final word on any subject touched upon here. The truth is you flat out do not know what the **** you're talking about. You take things that are hardly universally accepted and pretend they are settle truth and use it as the premise for your very flawed logic.

No ****, Sherlock. How else do you crack chins?? Then you say Wlad would not land on Ali, this is Boxing, everyone gets hit in every fight. Even Ali.
