Duran went one on one for an epic.
I love Hagler as a fighter and wanted him to win.
But he simply did not do enough up there.
Being the aggressor the entire fight does not constitute a win, you have to land punches as well............Rockin'Last edited by Rockin'; 12-18-2020, 04:27 PM.

- -Leonard fought scared and ran around a 24 'ring. Duran fought with sneering aggression.
If in a war foxhole dependent on the guy next to U, Duran or Marv the guys U want next to U.
Not Leonard.

Why is Leonard not given credit for boxing rather than slugging?......Rockin'

Maybe Leonard fought smart. I love Hagler, but why could he not catch and stop Leonard? It's called smart boxing. Many guys fighting smart got stopped through the years.

I'd think that was on Ray the challenger. He never did. Why'd he retire to avoid the rematch?
Don't sound like a winner.

Where in the rule book does it state that a champion does not have to chase an opponent to win a round/a boxing match? A boxing match, hit and don't be hit. Or in this case, don't be hit and then hit. Either way.

Utterly ridiculous way of thinking by Queenie. I'm almost ashamed to say I thought that way as well until I actually fought and learned the sport.

I took the Assoctiation of Boxing Commisions test and studied the scoring procedures and don't recall ever seeing aggression wins rounds. It could carry a close round but if you're being hit, and not landing any of your own (while being aggressive), it won't win you a round with out landing the punches. (Unless you're Willie Pep)....................Rockin'Last edited by Rockin'; 12-18-2020, 11:55 PM.
