The fight was filmed by a New York based production company in 1897. ATT Hollywood was a small town filled with sheep, literally sheep.

It was so damn early in the history of film that one entrepreneur in Chicago pre-sold tickets to the presentation promising that once he pre-sold enough tickets he would use the money to have the projector built so he could show the film (and then made good on the promise).

That any of that film survived is amazing.

The film was still intact for several decades after that before the Rot set in. During that time they made a slew of fight films.

As late in the game as Clay vs Cooper the original stock disappeared. Subsequent copies have been spliced, thus we can never know what the Dundee time delay was.
