Ali was hardly hit Spinks 2. However Shavers, Spinks 1 and Holmes Ali took a pounding.

The WBC stripped SPINKS for not facing Norton. Not Ali.

Instead Spinks gave Ali a rematch which was the perfectly reasonable decision.

Pretty good way to get another championship win in your resume. Let a bum beat you so you can rematch him later and win.

When Leon was introduced, he was roundly jeered. Ali cheered to the rafters. Made me ashamed to be around such a rude crowd who couldn't acknowledge the champ who was never more than a goofus kid done good for hisself thru boxing.
