A loss to old Holmes might have totally derailed Foreman’s comeback. I am sure George realized Holmes had the skills to outbox him even at an advance age. I have no doubt George was unafraid but he probably realized a win over old Holmes ment nothing but a loss would be catastrophic.

And since he fought and destroyed Ken Norton, what reason would he have for ducking Quarry? Quarry was a ****** fighter, who almost always fought the wrong gameplan. Undoubtedly, he would try to brawl with Foreman and get layed out within three rounds.
