London heavyweight rivals Dereck Chisora and Larry Olubamiwo will put everything on the line next week at Wembley Arena as they aim to get their careers back on track.

Matthew Macklin inked a multi-fight deal with Lou DiBella in the summer after his stock rose considerably in the wake of a contentious decision defeat to WBA middleweight titlist Felix Sturm on June 25th. Although a loser in Cologne, ‘Mack The Knife’ used the impetus from the fight to secure a contract that he believes will lead to a St. Patrick’s Day challenge to Sergio Martinez unless ‘Maravilla’ is rewarded with a Floyd Mayweather date after failing to fire during Saturday’s win over British challenger Darren Barker.

Matthew Macklin’s stock rose in June after a contentious decision defeat to WBA middleweight champion Felix Sturm over in Germany. ‘Mack The Knife’ got stuck into the titlist early, harrying Sturm in every round before losing a 115-113, 112-116, twice, split decision that was condemned by many within the trade.

Martin Murray is confident he can cause an upset when he travels to Germany to challenge Felix Sturm (36-2-1, 15KOs) for his WBA world middleweight title on December 2nd. The 28-year-old Merseyside fighter has quietly gone about his business to move to 23-0 - his latest victory over Nick Blackwell earning him the British and Commonwealth titles.

MARTIN MURRAY will challenge World Boxing Association (WBA) middleweight champion Felix Sturm later this year.

WBA middleweight champion Felix Sturm (36-2-1, 15KOs) is very angry with his countryman, Sebastian Zbik (30-1, 10KOs). Sturm offered Zbik a shot at his title, for reportedly good money on December 2 at the SAP-Arena in Germany, but the champion claims the offer was turned down. Sturm, who used to be stablemates with Zbik under Universum Promotions, was shocked. In the past, Zbik has called for the fight several times, but Universum was not satisfied with Sturm's financial proposal.

MATTHEW HATTON believes he is bang on course to face Amir Khan in a blockbuster Battle of Britain.

WBC middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. sat down to speak with us about the WBC's threat to withdraw their sanction of his upcoming fight with Ronald Hearns, scheduled for September 17 in Culiacan. The WBC is angry that Chavez switched the date from the 24th to the 17th, which makes him go head to head with Mexican rival Saul Alvarez, who defends his WBC 154-pound belt against Alfonso Gomez at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. The WBC says Chavez is "dividing the boxing audience and hurting all of the fighters involved."

Junior middleweight contender Vanes Martirosyan (30-0) is so fed up with his division that he is contemplating a temporary move up to 160 to land a title shot.

Former champion Sebastian Zbik (30-1, 10KOs) is back in training and wants to return in the fall. Zbik was last seen in the ring in June, losing a close twelve round majority decision to Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. (43-0-1, 30KOs). Zbik is very interested in facing some of his well-known countrymen, like former champion Sebastian Sylvester, current WBA 160-pound king Felix Sturm, and Arthur Abraham, who plans to return to the middleweight in the fall.
