Former four division world champion Erik 'El Terrible' Morales (52-8, 36KOs) will take every necessary precaution as he prepares for a scheduled rematch with WBC/WBA junior welterweight champion Danny Garcia (24-0, 15KOs).

In the first fight, Garcia dropped Morales in the eleventh round and won a unanimous decision to capture the WBC championship. The Showtime televised rematch is set for October 20th at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

Prior to their first meeting, Morales underwent gall bladder surgery.

Both Morales, and his father/trainer Jose Morales, believe the surgery affected their training camp and led to Morales' failure to make the junior welterweight limit in the first fight.

To avoid the same issue, they plan to hire a nutritionist for the fight. Morales will start training at Mexico's Otomi Ceremonial Center at the end of next week.

"We have more than enough time to achieve an excellent preparation. [Erik] will work with a nutritionist to remove the excess weight. Sparring sessions will start at the end of August, with at least three rounds per day," Jose Morales said.

"The last time, Garcia took on Erik when he was just operated on and he fought him practically coming out of the operating room. Now things will be very different. This time my son will make the weight without problems."
