MGM Grand, Las Vegas - Junior welterweight Danny Garcia (21-0, 14KOs) got the biggest win of his career with a tough ten round unanimous decision over former lightweight king Nate Campbell (33-8-1, 25KOs). The scores were 99-91, 98-92 and 100-90. Campbell performed better than usual, but he did more talking and not enough fighting in the contest, which allowed Garcia to outwork him.

2008 Olympic Gold medal winner Rakhim Chakhkiev (10-0, 8KOs) stopped Harvey Jolly (12-16-1, 6KOs) in the third round. Chakhkiev looked very strong and scored a quick knockdown in the second. Chakhkiev put Jolly down again in the third, and this time the very tall heavyweight stayed down on one knee.

In a very exciting fight to open up the show, junior middleweight prospect Mikael Zewski (9-0, 5KOs) was taken to his limit by unheralded Clint Coronel (4-2-2, 1KO). Zewski was pushed around, rocked in the final round and appeared to be very tired at the end - but he managed to do enough to take a six round split decision with two very strange scorecards. The scores were 60-54 for Zewski, 60-54 for Coronel and 59-55 for Zewski.
