Junior middleweight Jordan Panthen is scheduled to take on the also-undefeated Miguel Angel Hernandez at The Hangar in Costa Mesa, California, on June 20, in another quick return to the ring.

Panthen (8-0, 7 KOs), who will face Hernandez (8-0, 6 KOs) in an eight-round main event to be broadcast on TrillerTV, will be making his third appearance of 2024.

“I’m on a path to becoming the next American boxing champion, and this is the next step,” Panthen said. “Right after my last fight, I was back at Brickhouse Boxing Gym training for what was next.”

Panthen, a resident of Honolulu, Hawaii, born in Poughkeepsie, New York, scored a first-round knockout of Adam Diu Abdulhamid at The Hangar on Feb. 15. He returned to the venue on April 4 to stop Ravshan Hudaynazarov with a body-shot knockout in the second round.

“Activity is the key right now, staying in the gym and learning, and then utilizing what we’ve worked on for victory as the competition continues to get better,” said Panthen, trained by Julian Chua. “This is definitely my toughest challenge. Hernandez has the same record as I do and will be looking to continue his undefeated streak as well.”

Hernandez, of Dallas, most recently earned a unanimous decision over Miguel Adolfo Yepez in an eight-round shutout in Halifax, Nova Scotia, in February.
