WBC middleweight champion Miguel Cotto has no opinion on his Puerto Rican countryman, Felix 'Tito' Trinidad, siding against him in the upcoming fight with Saul "Canelo" Alvarez of Mexico on November 21st at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas.

Trinida, a former three division champion and regarded by many as the most popular Puerto Rican boxer of all-time, picked Canelo to come out victorious in the fall.

Trinidad, after retiring, never actually endorsed Cotto as the next superstar of Puerto Rico. Trinidad has however endorsed Felix Verdejo as the next star of Puerto Rico.

"Anyone can go with whatever boxer they want. I'm not going to lose any sleep over [Trinidad's pick]. I am not concerned. Felix can choose whoever he wants to win," Cotto said.

Canelo was honored that Trinidad would pick him to beat Cotto.

"For me, yes it is a big fight. Miguel is a great fighter, one who will go down in history as one of the greats," Canelo said. "It's a big responsibility [to win this fight], but we must work to achieve it."
