The date of November 21 is being considered for the remaining mega-fight of the year, between WBC middleweight champion Miguel Cotto and Mexican superstar Saul "Canelo" Alvarez. The cities of New York and Las Vegas are still at the top of the list to host, with Texas holding position as the third option. The fight could be officially announced in the coming weeks.

Roc Nation Sports and Golden Boy Promotions continue to work out the details for the venue and the date.

"There is a lot of movement in every direction," said Cotto's adviser, Gabriel Peñagarícano, to Carlos Narvaez. "Where will the fight take place? That's something that we have not determined. On November 21, that it is a possibility. But even that is not entirely defined. The date will be linked to the location. As I said before New York and Las Vegas are viable. This is a big event."

"We should not dismiss to Dallas. We have to see what they have to offer. I have to reaffirm that the fight is still looking likely at this time and on track to have everything completed in the near future. The announcement could take place in July."
