I'll never understand how Alvarez can show his face in public without feeling ashamed with how he has avoided facing David Benavidez. I mean it's embarrassing at some point.
Floyd looking like a real b**** right about now. You can read between the blindingly glowing lines what is happening right about now. He's broke and I don't mean he's low on money. I mean broke taking out loans and NEEDS Manny or someone else to get himself financially right but also doesn't want to expose that record and is not so sure he can still do this so Manny or whoever he winds up fighting has so much leverage over him it's ridiculous. Hence he looks like quite the b**** right now.
Joseph Parker or Fabio Wardley would be the obvious next step before an Usyk or Fury fight. If he can do this to one of those two guys it'll be all the proof I need he's ready for the tippy top guys.
I honestly would not bet against Moses against anyone at this point. He looks that good. Usyk, Fury, Joshua, all of them. Usyk might be interesting because he has superb foot movement but the body work Moses would put on him (Usyk's weakness) would put him down too.
If you asked 1000 subscribers to boxingscene if Shields could beat ANY men's world champions from 140 and up you would find something like 995 - 5 because A) people aren't this stupid and B) because despite what I just said in my first reason you will always find irrational out of touch with reality types who think crazy things. Then you have those who think "well you never truly know" and "crazier things have happened" but the truth is no they haven't and Shields beating a men's champion would outrank Buster Douglas beating Mike Tyson for the undisputed heavyweight championship of the world at 42-1 odds. I was really hoping Keith Thurman would have taken that bait because unlike Rolly who would probably box her ears off, Keith would flatten her azz where she was throwing up gang signs and twitching which is what she needs with all that talk. The world actually needs this for it to snap out of this mindset of mixing the genders in sports.
I find this situation hilarious TBH. Not the possible fight between Bud and Floyd. Who wouldn't watch that? But the going broke part. He was always talking about how smart he was and how business minded he was and his followers always talking about his money and looked up to him for it and the rest of us with any brains could literally see the future and knew walking around with those idiotic bricks of cash that he knew absolutely nothing about what he was doing and was absolutely going to 100% be broke and I didn't think it would be this short but here we are. It's fun to be right about such things. Dude could box his ass off but he was a moron always was. This just proves it.
I'll watch it since it is on Netflix but my entire take on this is Floyd is broke or almost broke. Him suing Showtime and now this yeah dude is absolutely broke and just reinforces the idea he is not a smart guy at all but he's a damn great fighter. He might seem smart to his fans in the ring but the truth is he has no sense at all outside of the sport of boxing. It's a shame too because he's quite great at that one thing. He'll wind up ruining that record eventually if he keeps this stuff up.
Floyd is a fantastic boxer. That goes without saying but generally speaking he's quite an idiot. This damn fool has gone and went broke somehow. It is quite evident. He's going to mess around and give himself an L and ruin that perfect record.

Man these WBC dudes are absolutely crooked and greedy AF! Bud was absolutely 10000000% right They now want a want a fee for fights they aren't involved in at all? Man they are not doing themselves any favors with Zuffa trying to be rid of the sanctioning bodies with this sort of behavior.
As much as I want to see this fight I hope Eddie doesn't cave because Oscar is being a little greedy bitch about this. Boots is the bigger draw anyways and Oscar knows it. This is a form of him protecting his fighter from a sure fire loss.
Congratulations to Bud Crawford! What a career. So bittersweet though. I really wanted to see him with Boots and really wanted to see him snag that sixth division title considering how few fighters have done it.
Good for Bud! These guys have to pay 3% sanctioning fees for EACH belt which is absurd. They don't do anything and Floyd was rich at some point they just collect dust and these guys are throwing away money and when you're fighting for four of them that's 12% of your dang purse. Screw that. They bring almost nothing to the table at the end of the day so why should there be any fees outside of the making of the belt itself and maybe a small capped fee of $25,000 or so to the design team. This nonsense of paying them $300,000 for one fight is nuts. I am all for some force coming into boxing and eliminating the sanctioning bodies.
Amir Khan will forever be the most delusional lying azz fighter in the history of the sport in my eyes. I'll never forget him talking about sparring Andre Ward and then Ward settled things and said they never did. Dude is a big fat liar with zero shame or self respect. Usually being caught red handed lying like that will make you hole up and never come out due to shame but not good old Amir. Dude still thinks he was hall of fame worthy. Truth is lots of people commenting in these forums might have scored knockouts over this clown due to the extreme weak structure of his chin.
Man this sucks. I don't know why these fighters choose to run instead of taking these fights. I wanted to see Benavidez vs Beterbiev so bad. Two dudes with granite chins who do not understand the concept of taking a step backwards who are bangers. That is about as fan friendly of a fight in all of boxing history and we're not going to get it. This sucks.
Here we have Zab making excuses on why he acted like a ghetto azz dude all the time. Now we know and don't have to wonder why he made the choices he made. It wasn't him. It was his environment. Now I feel better and all makes sense.
How in the hell does Ryan Garcia's inferior skilled azz wind up fighting for a title on the back of a dominating loss to a guy he was supposed to beat? They're determined to make this fraud a champion or rather trinket holder if it kills them. There are half a dozen guys around him that would beat him. This is why I'm actually behind the league they're talking about. Taking an L should put you at the back of the line not fighting for a title. Ridiculous.
This is why I'm for the boxing league with one belt. This nonsense needs to stop with the asinine four belts. It's like having four Super Bowl champs or four World Series champs. You can't have four "bests" it's just counterintuitive.
You are definetly crazy or you are joking.
There is this saying in boxing everybody has a punchers chance but no just no.
AJ can whipe out Paul in 15 seconds or he can just use his boxing skills and KO him without getting touched and this will probably take him like 2-3 minutes. Just look at Paul when Chavez turned it up just a bit. Paul does not know how to defend and he closes his eyes and just ducks down from time to time.
This fight should not be sanctioned but honestly if AJ is allowed to go hard on him and he puts him to sleep early maybe then people will realise that you don't play this stup.d games in boxing.
This is spot on and I was thinking the previous post was some sort of troll job. AJ should end this at any point he wants. I can't see this going past 2-3 rounds and that's if he takes his time.
Jake deserves credit for taking this fight but this farce ends here. He has less of a chance of beating AJ as McNeely had against Mike Tyson IMO. If he somehow beats AJ I'll stop making fun of the dude but I'm 100% that is not going to happen even though AJ is past his best he's not ancient like Paul's other opponents and he's still world class and huge puncher. I would be surprised if this doesn't end within 3 rounds.
Definitely not wrong. Calzaghe would win 12 out of 12 rounds in that fantasy fight. The styles make fights trope really comes into play here and like they said here the work rate would be like kryptonite. Calzaghe beats him even more thorough than Floyd or Bud did.
Screw these sanctioning bodies. I'd give anything to see ALL fighters come together and collectively refuse to pay those 3% sanctioning fees and put them all out of business in rapid succession. Maybe make their own belt that is ceremonial the way it should be. Maybe have it run by some non profit boxing people who value the meaning of the concept champion. Then we wouldn't have this undisputed, unified, etc BS. It's so absurd just with the four then they have the audacity to create different versions of their own titles like super and regular and interim diamond, green, etc just utter nonsense. Let's just make "A CHAMPION" ... As in one champion per division. If I got everything I wanted, I'd also do away with about half of the divisions and go back to eight divisions the way it was for most of time. Maybe keep strawweight for the tiny dudes and Cruiserweight just because of that massive leap between 175 and the heavys. You'd have ten champs in all of boxing not almost 70 which is absurd.
