Don't get me wrong, I love boxing, but most of boxing's biggest names (Hopkins, Ali, Arum, Ross Greenburg, etc.) recognize its problems. Mainly, corruption and health and safety. Anyone who cares about boxing should want to see fighters get taken care off during and after their careers. I am doing a paper on McCain's proposal, which I think has some great ideas like having state commissions pick refs and judges, as opposed to the sanctioning organizations.
Do get it started, I think having mandatory amateur careers, even like 10-15 fights is a must. It is crazy that someone can fight on the professional level without no amateur background. Also, have a consecutive loss maximum, you lose 7-8 fights in a row, you lose your license.
What do you guys think? Thanks for your input
