Don't get me wrong, I love boxing, but most of boxing's biggest names (Hopkins, Ali, Arum, Ross Greenburg, etc.) recognize its problems. Mainly, corruption and health and safety. Anyone who cares about boxing should want to see fighters get taken care off during and after their careers. I am doing a paper on McCain's proposal, which I think has some great ideas like having state commissions pick refs and judges, as opposed to the sanctioning organizations. Do get it started, I think having mandatory amateur careers, even like 10-15 fights is a must. It is crazy that someone can fight on the professional level without no amateur background. Also, have a consecutive loss maximum, you lose 7-8 fights in a row, you lose your license. What do you guys think? Thanks for your input

Did anyone watch the last Omar Sheika Ring Life? If not, you should. I felt bad for the guy after that stoppage. I had not seen the fight, but I watched it on youtube after, and it was a bad stoppage in my opinion. This is not saying Omar had any chance to win that fight, but he looks like his career is about done, and he deserved to finish the fight. Or, at least had a doc look at the cut. At least he would have been able to keep his head up and say he went the distance with RJJ (regardless of age). Nine times out of ten I agree with a stoppage, but not that one.
