Great minds think alike Manny's balance will be tested coming in Floyd has face manny in an out style before but Manny won't be ready for Floyd defensive style and speed
please tell me a fighter floyd has faced that moves like pacquiao
For 12 rounds, Mayweather's too diciplined and will stick to the gameplan. That Jab will snap mannys head back for 12 rounds, frustrate manny get him of balance trying to land a bomb and get caught with the same left hook Hatton got caught with consistently.
you act as if pacquiao moves like hatton, pacquiao will move his head, move his feet, and combo punch mayweather like no other fighter mayweather has faced
Floyd was rusty he didnt throw any combinations, trust me you will see a diff floyd vs Manny.
floyd hasnt been throwing combinations since his jww days
floyd will try and potshot manny
If the title favors Floyd,
"Unassailable"
or.. if it Favors Pac
"Firestorm"
"Pound For Pound" is pretty dope though...and neutral too
for pac: blood, sweat, and tears
for floyd: duck, money, and fears
Freddie Roach: "For him to fight at 147, we have to feed him five times a day to keep the weight on," Roach said. "I think will be his final stop, but you never know. If something big comes up at 154 , maybe we'll go there."
There's already a huge amount of buzz and anticipation over the Mayweather vs Pacquiao fight even before it's officially reached to the negotiating table. In view of the unique moment in history that this event represents, would either one of these boxers lose a substantial amount of respect from the boxing world if the event doesn't happen because they decide to pull out of the fight for any reason other than a genuine injury?
all im saying is this fight MUST happen
Will they both retire after that fight do you think win or lose?
pac might retire cause of his politics shiz, mayweather might keep going if he wins with an 'i told you so' attitude, if he loses he'll probably take on matthew hatton
if pacquiao or floyd loses they'll both wanna go off on a win..just a couple matches more thats it...
if pacquiao wins he'll retire with quite possibly the most overated resume in the history of boxing, and the fakest legacy known to man...
if floyd wins he'll fight a couple more cause he hasnt fought enough BIG NAMES who were past it like pacquiao did..floyd will actually have to WORK for a good legacy unlike catchweight pac..

I see only one way Mayweather can win, and that is to get on his bicycle for 12 rounds and use is jab. Cotto has a great jab and he used it well in round 1 untill Manny started attacking him. If Floyd is jabbing and backing up, Manny will have a hard time catching him even with his fast feet. I don't think Floyd can keep him off with his jab, but he can score a lot of points with it. Manny is good at attacking and slipping the jab, but when he's setting up there is a bit of time for him to get popped with it, or even the right hand (JMM).
For Manny, he just needs to attack and use his right hook a lot. He has a very fast right hook. Floyds shoulder roll defense does little to defend against a right hook, esp a fast one that Manny has been using as a jab and a hook. If Floyd revert back to a normal hands up defense like he did against Zab, this gives Manny some time to land his straight left through the gloves. I only see this happening if Floyd hits the ropes. Manny has quick hands but being the shorter guy it will take a lot of speed and timing to catch a guy like Mayweather backing up.
Other than those 2 points, I think Manny has a serious strength and power advantage, at 147, I'd edge hand speed to FMJ and footspeed, although you could argue that Manny's left hand is the quickest in the business.
In terms of size, I don't think Floyd is that big. He's only Cotto's height and he is a lot skinnier. Manny looked damned near as big as Cotto and standing beside FMJ I would reckon his head is 2 times as big as Floyds tiny head.
right now I think Floyd will win this by Ud, running backwards. I give Manny a huge chance as well if he can catch him (who knows how Floyd will react to Manny's punches)
pacquiao needs to utilize his handspeed and footspeed effectively and use the ever important right hook. i think manny's got this but it wont be a walk in the park. no way in hell floyd ko's manny IMO
What gives me hope for PAC are the Zab and Hatton fights against Floyd Jr.
Zab, because a) He's a southpaw b) We found out Floyd was susceptible to a counter right-hook, because Floyd tends to lean in when throwing his jab to the body. c) Combinations will do it against Floyd, especially against the ropes, they may not land cleanly, but it's better than gettin' pot-shotted in the middle of the ring.
As for the Hatton fight.
Hatton closed the gap on Floyd time after time, I mean, it seemed like he was always able to get Floyd against the ropes, he just didn't know what to do once he had him on the ropes.
Floyd is known for his speed, but, Floyd himself has shown vulnerabilities in spots where he has trouble with awkward/fast fighters himself.
good points :boxing:
2011 is the start of the new decade. jan 1 2000- dec 31 2010 is one decade.
Floyd is fighter of the decde b/c hes going to stomp pac
2000,2001,2002,2003,2004,2005,2006,2007,2008,2009
thats 10. a decade is 10 yrs.
2000 is the start of the decade. 2000 is the start of the millenium.
People would count 2000-2099 as a century. Since the century starts at 2000. if the the century starts at 2000 then you should start counting from there.
2000 1
2001 2
2002 3
2003 4
2004 5
2005 6
2006 7
2007 8
2008 9
2009 10
Please learn to count
2009 is the end of the decade. Pacquiao has outdone floyd in this decade.
Pacquiao is the fighter of the decade. :nana:
I agree, because he was offereing a jab, that led Hatton to think a jab was coming when it really wasnt. Thats bascially lieing to a fighter, like telling him youre gonna do something but you dont. The guys cheats on his wife for crying out loud so this isnt a surprise.
.....what???
1. Floyd is too talented, Pac didnt have a chance.
2. Manny never beat a slick, black, American so why would he have beaten Floyd.
3. If Torrecamp, Singsurat, and Morales beat Manny, we knew Floyd would.
you love floyd too much that it has hindered your reading ability
Notice how he throws the jab out there but then renegs on his initial offer and goes for a left hook.

I think Floyd needs to be careful and not take everything Manny throws at face value.
its not dishonorable, its a tactic called feint. boxers use it quite a lot. you should watch boxing more often :boxing:
actually its just one of those jabs that pacquiao uses to measure the distance of his opponent. nothing wrong with that.
INCREDIBLE talent............down the drain...so far....once he gets some good names of his own size then i'll change my mind. but for now im disappointed
