I think some is good and some is B.S. How can you say that Floyd only has the Chaves win? What about Castillo, Chico, N'Dou, and others. There are alot of fighters in the lower divisions but none of them fight eachother so thats why they move up. People like to blame Floyd for this but I will ask them this: Who could Floyd have fought that he didnt? He wanted Hatton but he said not yet, he wanted Cotto but he was too green, and he's already fought the big guns at 135. You say Floyd hasnt fought a real 147 pounder but then the only name you can come up with is Margarito. Why is that? Because there is no one who is a real 147 pounder that is better then the lesser guys except for "maybe" Margarito. People like to bring up Callazo now but no one thought about him before the Hatton fight and now people try to act like he is the best thing since slice bread. Both Hatton & Floyd should probally still be at 140 but when has that meant anything in boxing? From day 1, alot of guys fought at heavier weights then they belong and I say you should get credit for that if you look good. Floyd handled 147 better then Hatton. Point of clarification: Floyd does have wins against a number of tough opponents: chico, castillo, genaro, etc. But, that was not my point. Floyd's, and I challenge someone to prove me wrong on this, only true fight against a "Pressure Fighter" was against Jesus Chavez. Please do not tell me that Chico or Castillo are pressure fighters. Castillo comes close but he has a much more methodical approach. Chico just follows you around the ring and is characterized more by a boxer-puncher style. Neither guy rains down your neck from the moment the first bell is rung to the last second of the fight, like Hatton or Margarito. As for the other stuff you say, how I can only name Margarito as a true welterweight, that is partly true. There really aren't that many true welterweights with skill. The only ones that come close are margarito, cintron, rivera, and collazo. Floyd, in my estimation, can handle all of these guys. So, yes, you are right. But does that mean he should be at 147? If it means he will take on Oscar De La Hoya, yes. I want to see that. But if it means we have to see him against mitchell and judah, then go back down to 140 where you belong. Joel Casamayor would be a stiff test for Floyd, and Hatton/Cotto are lurking in the shadows and would be ready to fight by the end of this year.

i have the solution to the welterweight mess: margarito vs. mayweather hatton vs. judah baldomir vs. gatti joel julio vs. andre berto the winner of hatton/judah faces baldomir/gatti, which then takes margarito/mayweather. and hopefully that doesn't lead to gatti/mayweather because lord knows the outcome of that mismatch. I guess there really is no doubt that Steward is a great trainer but, as you guys suggested with the wlad-brewster fight, does it take time for the relationship to develop between the trainer and fighter? I don't really think that steward can just jump in the middle of taylor's camp and help him in a positive enough way to get ready for the winky fight. To me, this is a semi-desperation move on taylor's camp behalf, and it really gives the impression that they are neverous as all hell going into the fight with winky.

Cintron has the worst defense i have ever seen. He gets hit with one shot and he goes off-balance. He is lucky Estrada is not a precision puncher like Margarito is.

I'm starting to really believe that this guy is being vastly underrated. If he can stick and move like he did on his last espn fight then I can really see him winning because Cotto doesn't have the best outside game. But then again, his wins are against competition that can't really compare to Cotto. So, you really don't know what you are getting.

Ha, gotta get those plugs in. But this kid could still fight in any state he wants even if he is from pennsylvania. He just has to get a license in the state he is going to fight in. Seriously though, do not turn professional until you have at minimum 5 to 10 amateur fights in. I've seen some stupid ass people try to get through with just a couple and they definitely pay the price.

Well one thing you must take into account, most of Joel Julio's fights have been in Columbia and Julio has nowhere near the amateur pedigree that Berto has. I think both of these guys are a lot closer in their careers than most people realize, Julio has just got the better exposure.

Do you have any amateur fights or are you just randomly wanting to get a professional boxing license? I don't advise boxing just for the sake of saying you did. This loss really was a blow to audley's career. A boring fighter, Audley has spent the past couple years working his way up the ladder on fox sports and now he is back to square one. I was ringside at the fight friday and I for one would not care to ever see audley in a boxing match again. He is tentative and boring. As for Wladimir, he is a scared fighter but the difference is it works to his advantage. If he wasn't a scared fighter, he would have definitely been knocked out in his last fight against Sam Peter. It is the hesitation that allows him to use his brain and fight smart. That and emmanuel steward.

IF Cintron can tighten up that defense and use his legs more to get in and out instead of at times just standing there in front of the opponent, he has a good chance of causing some damage in the welterweight divison. BUT, i emphasize some. I don't ever see him beating the top dogs, like mayweather or even a margarito in a rematch.

Ha, what's next? "Manny scratches his balls" But let me say this, it doesn't sound too good for manny. He doesn't seem to be taking larios serious and that is a big mistake. Good thing he has freddie roach in his corner to stay on top of him and make sure he gets the job done.
