Ricardo Lopez is the closest fight I have ever seen to being perfect. I will never forget a fight on Showtime when he was dominating as usual and was caught with a crisp punch in the 7th or 8th round. He came back to his corner and instantly apologized for getting hit.
Remember Bute rallying in the 12th round against Pascal a few years back. He found a surge of energy late in that fight as well. What kind of testing was done for that fight?
I do remember Andrade literally having a gassed Bute out in the final round of their fight.
Personally, I am not buying for one second Bute's excuse.
Peralta is a total unknown. He has two losses on his resume including one by stoppage. But who knows, I have no idea what to expect from this fight.
Angulo-Hernandez could actually be somewhat entertaining. Both have obviously seen their better days but both also prefer opponents who they can trade with. It should be a slugfest between two fighters who don't know any other way.
Gausha-Martinez should be the best fight on the card. I was in Verona when Martinez beat Melendez his last time out and he looked sensational. I tab him to beat Gausha but this is a very interesting and competitive crossroads fight.
