Sorry to be nitpicky but BHop has fought outside of the USA...he fought Segundo Mercado in Ecuador... But the point being made is essentially correct...he has a huge fanbase in Indonesia and makes good money there...he has very little crossover appeal to be successful in the USA...and he has travelled abroad too...I'm sure if Gamboa said he was willing to fight in Indonesia then Chris wouldn't say no... My 'suggestion' in saying that who has Aydin fought refers to how Berto is looking at the big picture, and why Berto wants a fight against a big name before fighting his mandatory. You keep saying that 'it can be argued' lol...WTF lol. I'm not a fan of Berto. I'm looking at it from his point of view. If Berto can't get a big fight, he has to fight his mandatory period. Well who has Berto fought to be fighting a big name...if anything hes suggested hes not ready for Pacquiao and I dont begrudge him that because he clearly isnt... And then you have to ask yourself who is left in the division...Floyd again is a no go for him...Mosley seems to be returning to 147 to fight Pac...then honestly who else is there?...Cotto is another one that is unlikely... Berto can keep saying that Zaveck, Aydin and the rest arent big enough names...he hasnt got a big enough name himself to be chasing some of the fights he claims he wants...why should Floyd, Pac or Cotto fight Berto?...what does Berto bring to the table?... Berto should fight the best in his division and not sit and wait for a big fight...beating the best fighters in the division will help prove his is the real deal...suggesting that Zaveck and Aydin arent big enough names and fighting the likes of Hernandez makes it hard for one to take him seriously...

As I said in another thread lets wait and see what Bradley does next...no-one is saying JMM is ducking Brandon Rios cos hes fighting Likar Ramos and then Pac so why so quick to judge here?... What is evident is Bradley wanted to leave Shaw so the Khan fight wasn't going to happen at that moment in time...the desire was to get a contract with Top Rank and fight Pac...Pac doesn't need to be his first fight therefore this 'is he going to sit and wait' argument really is somewhat weak...if he gets his contract sorted he fights on the Pac undercard and then fights Pac after he beats JMM... If the Pac fight is off the table and Bradley still avoids Khan then by all means call it a duck but lets atleast wait for Desert Storm to secure a contract before evaluating his position...

If Bradley sorts out his contractual issues and ends up on the Pac/JMM undercard then this really becomes a non issue...its no secret that Bradley wants a deal with Top Rank and wants the biggest fight he can in Pac but Gary Shaw is making this process as problematic as possible... Now who knows how his contract is going atm but whats to say that if he does sort out his contract he doesn't end up on the Pac undercard either against a 147 tuneup or say against Mike Jones with the winner taking a fight against Pac...Arum has mentioned them both as possible opponents in 2012 and Bradley would be a better proposition than say Aydin...two unbeaten American fighters with the with winner fighting Pac makes sense... Therefore this Pac won't be fighting till 2012 argument is correct but only if you presume Bradley won't fight someone first...its not as simple as either/or...there appears to be a 147 roadmap in place if this contract comes off and Khan is not part of it...many make the career high payday argument against Khan but the fact remains that Bradley wanted to leave Shaw and a fight against Pac offers more reward than a fight against Khan... If Bradley doesn't land a contract with Top Rank and doesn't get onto that undercard when his contractual issues are sorted then I would fully expect him to fight Khan...hes searching for the biggest fight in Pac and if it doesn't happen then Khan is the next biggest fight... If this road to Pac falls through and Bradley still refuses to fight Khan then I will be the first person calling it a duck...currently however especially with Bradley's contractual issues it is hard to say with certainty what will happen...I just hope for Bradley that he can sort out his issues and get onto that Pac/JMM undercard...

Rojas is a good fight...Litzau isnt... Its hard to make an accurate judgement on Caballero following the Litzau fight...just he ruined any chance he had of ever landing a big fight again...he isnt **** without his height and combine that with the fact that he clearly wasnt prepared for the Litzau fight contributed to the defeat...but hes a fool for not being prepared... A prepared Caballero is still a threat against the shorter fighter like Juanma but hes royally screwed himself with that loss to Litzau...

Berto's 3 opponents before his title shot...Trabant, Rivera and Estrada and he beat Gonzalez for the vacant belt... One could argue that Aydin's opposition prior to getting a shot is better than Berto's...

I also suggested that Berto needs to be realistic...he has faced one good fighter in Collazo who also has no name...and now he wants to fight the big league fighters... The gap between both Floyd and Pac and the rest is huge...no-one is clamouring for a Pac V Berto fight...Berto doesn't have the resume and he doesnt have the fanbase to justify a fight...he is not nearly as big a name as he thinks he is...he isnt big enough to face the elite level fighters but he feels hes too big to fight the other beltholders like Zaveck even... Welterweight has gone from being one of the strongest divisions to one of the weakest... Cotto, Clottey, Margarito, Quintana have moved up...god knows what weight Pac will fight at next and Floyd is having his troubles outside the ring...and Mosley will come back to 147 provided its against Pacquiao it seems... Now that leaves the top 10 very weak indeed and even then Berto cant find the bottle to fight a top 10 fighter...
