I don't understand the hate on Bread
Bread always gives fighters their due respect and backs his opinions up with valid reasons. People are asking him questions and he gives thoughtful answers. Sometimes we might disagree, that's fine. People aren't supposed to always think the same.
Both of them should be in the WBSS.
AB and Pac are completely irrelevant today. It is a lot like Berto-Alexander a few months ago; winner might get to lose in a title fight. Neither has any chance against any of the ww champs. Though I would love to see how these two perform against the top jww's.
It honestly blows my mind that anyone would pay to watch two gatekeepers.
Well, we are still here talking about them.
This fight will probably match or outsell Mikey/Spence and Wilder/Fury, that's all a fighter needs to be 'relevant'. Pac is the last remaining legend of his generation and Broner is... well the man sells fights.
Aside from the money angle, this will actually be a pretty entertaining fight. It's 50/50 given Pac's age. They both have flashy styles that are interesting to watch and by the middle rounds either one or both of them will be landing big.
I'm surprised by everyone thinking G has no chance in a trilogy. Most people thought he won the first fight. The second could have gone either way (although I actually remember Canelo taking a bit more damage than G). Yes G is aging but it's still a very close fight that could belong to either man.
At first I thought it couldn't be staged purely because why would you need to stage a fight against someone half your size?
Looking back, it is possible that it was staged. In particular, the first knockdown looked suspicious. A lot of excessive flailing from Nasukawa for what seemed like a glancing shot. Then again maybe that's just what happens when you match a bantamweight against a welterweight.

Right. And Manny didn’t stop Oscar.
Oscar just stopped
Mcgregor is more showbiz star than athlete. He has the cardio of your average gym dad. After 20 mins he was gasping for air and couldn't hold his hands up, Floyd pinged his head a few times with his chopsticks and the ref waved it off. It was a win for sure, just doesn't sound right to call it a stoppage.
Being popular and being relevant are not the same thing. Neither of these two are relevant in terms of being champs or considered elite. They are not. They are completely irrelevant for the elite fighters.
We are also talking about Floyd and a 120 lb. kickboxer. Are they relevant for boxing??? NO.
There are a lot of good match-ups that are entertaining fights. People normally pay to see the best fight though, not gatekeepers. Gatti-Ward were not ppvs.
The fact that there will be people who pay for this is only proof that those who literally worship Manny would pay to see Pac doing anything or nothing at all.
By relevant, I meant relevant for the boxing world. This fight is completely irrelevant for the top fighters. Floyd and some 120 lb. kid from Japan are also totally irrelevant for top boxers. Selling ppvs, and being relevant are not the same thing.
Also, Pac is not the last legend. Roy Jones Jr. still fights too. I also do not consider his fights relevant. Once you understand the definitions of words, you should be alright. Actual sentences alone, make you better than most of the other kids on here. Good job.
Fair enough. I don't think many would argue that the winner would be in P4P contention.
Then again, boxing is a spectator sport. People are paying for the entertainment value. It's not like track and field where the only athletes that matter are the number 1s. The story behind the fighters is important to most fans, although it might not be for you personally.
Also, as far as cash-grab fights go, this is the most exciting and competitive match-up I can remember in a while. It's an intriguing fight for a lot of genuine boxing fans. Myself included.
Pacquiao won't beat any of the top welterweights. Pacquiao is a faded fighter that is past his prime. It's questionable if he'll beat Broner. Pacquiao is living off of his name right now
Yep, just like Mayweather.
My first thought was why take such a risk
But then you need to consider he's probably being paid several times more than his normal cut.
Plus, BKFC is not really more dangerous than boxing. You'll get cut more and you need to be careful about your hands (hit the body not the skull), but you'll take a LOT less blunt force trauma to the head which will serve you better in the long run.
