Less than 12 is the best. The whole 12 rounds is too risky for Pacman. The best he can get is a draw. Less than 12 removes the judges from the picture.

They at worst should have equal say in the purse. At best, Pac was lucky to have recieved a draw, in a fight he lost IMO. I scored the first round 10-7 in favor of Manny, and basically the rest for JMM. Pacquiao was getting exposed, bad.

This could be a candidate for fight of the year but it's too early to tell. There's a lot more upcoming exciting fights this June. So we just have to wait and see.
When Pacman mauled Barerra, it wasn't called the fight of the year. Same thing when with the Pacman-Marquez saga. No, I don't think this one will win the fight of the year award.
But this fight will surely excite the fans, they'll beg for more.
I was at Barrera vs. Morales I , and was seated way up at the Top. There was some real crazy Barrera Fans all around us. No fights broke out at the first fight. I did see a bunch of cups of beer thrown into the ring after the decision.
I was also at Barrera vs. Morales II, and there was more fights breaking out in the upper corner seats. I saw at least 10 guys going at it for about 10 minutes. Eventually secrurity cleared the whole section out.
Maybe the best choice is PPV. No need to get beat up after watching a boxing match. The worst part at MGM is when your section is cleared out by security and the real fight isn't over yet.
MAB hitting harder is not the reason he has a 2-1 record over EM. Boxing skill and fight strategy, those are the reasons.
Both boxers hit each other in the face several times, but only Erik's face was visibly rearranged. Plus skill and strategy doesn't mean a thing if your punch is a tickler.
I don't think Morales losing to Pacquiao will have that signifigant of an effect on his career, unless he gets totally blown out and is humiliated with an early KO. Morales is in the twilight of his career and his legacy is already sealed.
Even a humiliating tko will not affect Morales. Erik's loss record will just equal MAB's. 2 losses to the same guy and a 3rd loss to Pacman. A Morales-Marquez will still bring a lot of interest.

There's a market value for everything. I don't really care if JMM get a higher purse as long as it doesn't affect Pac's purse. Just like the EM-Pac's purses, I think its fair. I think Pac made a good move in improving his stock by hiring a US mgt team for his future fights.
Now JMM needs to do something to improve his own stock, that's for sure. Even Dela Hoya and BHop are putting matters in their own hands to get more money.

Based on the 3 fights between MAB & EM, their punches were almost even. But if we force the issue, MAB hits a bit harder which is the reason why he has a 2-1 record over EM.

But i'm not talking about 12 rounds of action packed battle. I'm talkin about 12 rounds of a more relaxed, measured pace with good action in short spurts...every couple rounds or so. Ultimately, a TKO comes in the final round to give it drama.

If the fight reaches the 12th round, I don't think anybody will give up. Even if you give Manny and Erik a gun in the 12th, none of them will die in that round. Maybe after the fight.
