What? You hypothesise that he lost an amateur fight... what? 13 years ago, deliberately, without any proof that this is the case. You then go on to speculate that the reasons for this - rather than money as would almost always be the case - are some latent Russian nationalism on Golovkin's part. You then go on to conclude that not only did Golovkin do this to support Russia over his native Kazakhstan but that he continues to hold Russian sympathies.
Not only can I see no good reason why anyone other than an extreme Kazakh patriot would give the slightest bit of a fuck, as an exercise in deductive reasoning, your argument falls about as flat on it's face as it's possible to do.
Oh yeah, and Kluch... http://www.boxingscene.com/universums-ceo-arrested-vicious-beating-manager--65280
I have learned that there are many supporters of Russia in the West. They deprived a peaceful Ukraine of nuclear weapons in favor of Russia, etc.
If you have studied Mr. Kaliyev's criminal deeds, you would have known that he himself was nearly blown up by an explosion when he put in his candidacy in local elections. Some of his rivals were killed as well. Maybe, through his direct orders. No comparison to childish fights of Western managers)))
Wow Shocker! A boxer with links criminal activity in their younger years. As someone else pointed out, most of these guys come from tough backgrounds trying to make a living.
I'd imagine a lot of fighters could tell you a story or two if they weren't trying to uphold a good public image.
We know about criminal aspects of Mike Tyson or James Toney. Why we should be silent on Mr. Golovkin's?
Depends how close a friendship it was, whether that 'friendship' is still extant what exactly the imprisoned did and how clear it is that they did it, also if we're honest - what the cost to yourself or your family would be. You say the man is a criminal - is it not most likely that he cultivated Golovkin for the purposes of making money, just as possibly a younger Golovkin welcomed the opportunities that the relationship brought to him. Friends come and go, but this sounds to more like a business relationship however cordial it may have been at the time. Sh1t man, if I felt an obligation to go to the aid of every dodgy individual I've befriended or had dealings with over the years it'd be a full-time commitment and frankly, life moves on.
I don't think that a young amateur boxer is a trove of money. Rather, it is a matter of prestige for criminals to have a bright personality as a protégé. Hey, they both hail from the same city. Mr. Kaliyev was something like a Don Corleone to Kazakh athletes. I don't think that this relationship was a purely commercial one. But, the billionaire Askar Kulibayev was too nosy a guy, who interferes with everything in Kazakhstan - from civil engineering to pipelines to retail trade.
So, a kind of Robin Hood - Mr. Kaliyev - had ordered an assassination attempt on the billionaire, which, unfortunately, was a failed one. By the way, a 25-year prison term for the failed attempt is rather harsh punishment, forced by the angered billionaire.
Blogging is not a credible news source for a couple of reasons.
1) Blogs do not have to deal with the burden of truth. For instance Fox news often have corrections or retractions from stories reported in the previous news cast flash by during the credits of their shows. (This is done because no one will see it and they are covered incase they are ever taken to task for fake news)
2) Blogs do not have to be factual. Most blogs are opinions. Opinions are NOT FACTS.
3) Sources of most "blog news" are not credible.
Freedom of speech comes with a responsiblity. Bloggers arent held accountable to ethics boards like journalists are. For example as a blogger I can post an article "Hilary Clinton was caught in the act of giving Trump a BJ" offer no sources just spread rumour and innuendo and people will treat it as truth. However someone with point out that it is a fake news story. I don't have to do anything because a blog is under tge scope of personal thought. Now if that story was published in a newspaper and someone said it was a fake story. The Editor and Reporter would face enquiries, have to print retractions, be suspended or fired.
When talking about news and the mainstream media ask yourself one who does the provider of news place the burden of truth? The provider or the reciever of the news because as a news source the burden must always be on the Provider.
My blog has several exclusive posts, where I for the first time in the Internet published factual news or documents. For example, a photo of Hillary Clinton with a rogue Kazakh businessman. A scan of a famous pamphlet against Zionism in the early 1950s, which Zionist-controlled media would never ever have reprinted. Sheet music of a marvellous piano piece by a great Armenian composer, for which many people around the world thanked me. Ok?
Mainstream media serve politicians and businessmen. I serve my readers. When a US policeman Stephen Rankin brutally murdered a Kazakh migrant Kirill Denyakin, no US major news agency or TV-station or magazine covered this story. As a result, the criminal policeman was acquitted. When a German diplomat Steffen Laas, driving under the influence, killed a Kazakh woman no German media covered the case. As a result, the criminal diplomat was only transferred to another country.
tldr version?
did golovkin himself harm innocent children or anything like that?
or is it some lame loose association with some mafia guy (like literally every pro boxer ever)?
i never forgive boxers who are pedos rapists etc
but if they were just promoted by some shady mobster who gives a ****? you would have to stop watching ANY boxing
Hey, the gangster was the official coach of GGG. The criminal sponsored Mr. Golovkin. You call it a "loose association"? Then, I am president Trump))).
Allegedly....key word...
Russia invaded the Ukraine, but, technically, there are no legal evidence of the Russian presence in the eastern Ukraine))). Yes, there have been numerous Russian soldiers, caught by the Ukrainian army. But, ya know, the Russian officials have told us that the soldiers have been on their own. They are on vacation, pal))). And their weapons were bought in local gun shops, located in the eastern Ukraine))). No, no! The Russian army has nothing to do with the weaponry of the vacationers. Live on in your fairy-tale world, partner.
Again, what does this have to do with GGG? These connections are loose at best.
One person being allegedly corrupt, doesn't mean everyone who had anything to do with the guy are corrupt too.
Are you going to expose Kazakh milkmen next? How about the postmen who deliver mail to underworld figures? They must be corrupt too.
Postmen and milkmen serve almost anyone, serial killers included))). It doesn't mean that they are buddies. But, when you willingly accept presents from a criminal and accompany him often, then you are his accomplice in a way. You support the criminal with your positive public image. You are a kind of his publicist.
Hi, guys!
If you are interested, I posted an article, which also deals with current criminal pals of Golovkin and his team. Visit blog daniyar info
Its title: "Gangster-Sponsored Athletes".
Why did Hillary meet the "rogue" business man? Were you in on the meeting? did they have a meeting? When you use terms such as "mainstream media", "Zionist" you sound like a conspiracy theory anti-semetic goof.
Yes, Sir! I am preparing a detailed report to you, officer!)))
I am not an anti-Semitic, 'cause I respect Arabs. But, Zionists are not Semites, they are Khazars - an Asian tribe, who pretend to be descendants of biblical Hebrews.
Funny thing is there actually are 'vacationers' in the Eastern Ukraine - I lived in a shared house in Manchester UK with this dude in my early 20's when we were all playing at political activism. Kid's more of a fantasist than a terrorist though, always had a different cause to throw himself into. The standing joke was 'who are you this week, Stimpy?'
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-manchester-37494296
Very interesting! Nice to hear your story. Because, you are a kind of eye-witness in this case.
Has 2016 taught you nothing? Since when did a blogger's post become a credible news source? Did you read any of the other **** this goof wrote or did you just read the headline and decide to be a troll?
Blogging is a great way to advance freedom of speech. People must have alternative news sources. Mainstream media are predominantly business vehicles to generate profit. So, independent voice is a necessity.
everyone has a past...it amazes me how people on this forum always try to judge boxers personal lives...stop acting like your sh1t doesnt stink and you are holyier then thou!!! But now watch how the same posters who slam others take up for GGG and the same posters who took up for others now slam GGG
GGG is a celebrity. That is why, he shall be ready for a scrupulous attention to his biography.
Look at history. Boxers don't come up out of privileged backgrounds. Very rarely. Usually they scrape their way up in tough circumstances. Especially in a former soviet block country!
True, but why Mr. Golovkin doesn't pay respect to Mr. Kaliyev, who made enormous efforts to promote GGG?
Golovkin trained a decade for those olympics, i highly doubt he would give away the fight.
Almost, every Olympian has trained hard. But, cases of corruption especially widespread among Cuban, ex-Soviet, Asian boxers. Sometimes, medals are on sale for the best bidder.
A random guy says something on the internet and everyone believes it?
Funny cause if you search that Serik guy on google you wouldn't find a thing, weird cause he supposedly was a trainer of a national team in one of the biggest boxing nations in amateur boxing.
OK, if you don't find English-language info on the guy, then he doesn't exist at all)))
What? Why would Golovkin even want to do such a thing. Because he said that the imprisoned was 'like a father' or somesuch? Fighters - especially younger ones - say that kind of sh1t all the time. Relationships come and go, we move on in life. Golovkin now has a family, a successful career and home in the US. Once again, I'm not quite sure of what point you're trying to make. So Golovkin was a street thug growing up in Karaganda, so criminals are heavily involved in the sport, so what?
Look I read some of your blog and it doesn't seem like you are a boxing fan in particular but have just latched on to GGG as being a Kazakh celebrity who has crossed paths with criminals. Thing is, as I implied previously, this will shock no-one in the boxing world. The sport, amateur and pro is riddled with corruption from top to bottom. Money, violence and criminality have always been close companions and probably always will be.
I have never said that GGG is a criminal himself. But, you know, when you befriend one closely, you involuntarily become involved in dirt. Like Klitschkos, who also were initially sponsored by an Ukrainian organized crime.
My sources have never indicated that GGG is a bad guy, except for his friendship with the gangster and the possible sale of the gold medal. And I think that it is rather ignoble to leave your friend alone in the dark hour of trouble.
Has people actually read the article? Which are the crimes he commit?
1) Losing a the final fight in the olympics. They say he lost the final against a guy who hadn't competed since 2001. I guess that guy somehow reached the final, so he was clearly good. Bullshiet accusations.
2) He has pictures with some supposed Mafia gang... who happened to be his official Kazakh trainer? yeah! how would you take pictures with your trainer!
https://i1.wp.com/blog.daniyar.info/wp-content/uploads/2017/01/sp4.jpg?w=400
This is funny.
Compare "that" to convicted rapists, killers, woman beaters, drug sellers... nothing to compare, nothing.
Some underworld figures in the former Soviet Union use Olympics as a pretext to promote themselves. They officially pretend to be a trainer, manager, etc. Selling the gold medal is a big crime, because noble hopes of his compatriots were shattered to pieces.
Most of us on this site if you're old enough has been in the company of less than desirable characters. Damn if you come from an Italian family like me it's a given:). Doesn't mean you're a criminal. This thread is really reaching.:lame:
Correct, but GGG not just befriended the gangster, he also received considerable financial help from the criminal.
I don't think you get it. Russia invaded the Ukraine. There is no allegedly because there is footage of Russian tanks and weponary crossing into the Ukraine. Is there footage of judges taking bribes? The officails bank statements showing the illegal funds? No??
There is footage of Russian-made weaponry, manned by Russian-speaking soldiers, but there are no publicly available official documents, indicating that the Russian authorities sent them to the Ukraine. The Russians officially tell us that the Russian soldiers, caught there, are on their own. They are vacationers.
There was a big scandal before the London Olympics, involving AIBA and Azerbaijan, for instance. The price tag for two gold medals to Azerbaijan was about $10 million. It was covered by many media outlets, even the BBC. Hopefully, this one was universally recognized. But, in the majority of cases bribes in boxing are paid without invoices, you know. There are no contracts. Just oral, mafia-style agreements. For example, in Beijing 2008, perhaps, all Cuban finalists sold their gold medals to their opponents. You know, the islanders are poor and they have got to eat, too. Sorry, the Cubans had not time to hire a lawyer to draw up a decent contract for bribery, disguised as consultation fees))). Like drug dealers, whose multi-billion business also for the most part is undocumented.
First of all there is no difference between khazatsan and Russia it's like Saying California isn't Nevada..
Second of all most people from Ukraine, Belarus, and khazastan ARE majority Russian .
"khazastan"?! What is that? You have meant Khazarstan as a country of Khazars, who pretend to be Jews?
So you think he should be strengthening his 'criminal connections' rather than distancing himself from them? Did you actually think about where you're going with this?
So, you think, when your friend, who has dragged you out of a miserable existence to the stardom, gets into trouble, then you should cease your friendship? I use this opportunity to awaken Mr. Golovkin's pride and conscience. Go, Gennady, save your friend from the Kazakh Gulag! It is better late than never. You are a well-connected celebrity! The best lawyers in the world are at your disposal.
There's a saying that comes to mind - saying a lot without actually saying anything.
That "article" has next to no credible claims. All it states is that someone who was associated with GGG at some point in his younger years, was a bit of a bad dude - then it goes off on a tangent and claims that, simply because GGG lost a fight he was favored to win - he must have taken a dive for money and Mother Russia.
Loose associations with a bloke who isn't as corrupt as Don King's left toe, is a pretty weak argument.
What a crock.
Sorry, we can't provide you with fingerprints, intercepted phone calls, etc))) But, corruption is pervasive in amateur boxing. AIBA scandal before London Olympics partially revealed a price tag for one gold medal to be forged by judges - $5 million. Some Cubans reportedly sold a gold medal to Kazakhs for $150,000. That would give you a certain idea about underworld bookkeeping.
So the stakes are higher in politics than boxing. Also yes, probably rivalry resolution methods are somewhat more direct in the ex-Soviet states. Perhaps I'm missing the relevance as it pertains to GGG?
Why GGG is so shy of his old good friend Serik?))) Why the boxer forgets the gangster's generosity? Now, GGG sleeps on silk bed-sheets, drinks expensive ****tails, drives posh cars... But, his friend serves a prison term in harsh conditions. GGG shall hire a good lawyer and save his old friend, who actually is like a second father of GGG.
I'd say it's interesting but all you actually do is mention some instances of corruption in a sport that's awash with them. It's generally accepted that corruption is rife in the ex-soviet countries (though whether it's more extensive or just less subtle than in the west is a legitimate question), but the connections to Golovkin are tenuous and at worst based on hearsay. Not that I'd hold his past against GGG any more than I would with any other fighter, but you don't even say anything of significance.
As a piece on corruption in Kazakhstan and it's boxing scene it holds some mild interest. As an expose of Golovkins 'criminal past' it's an utter failure. Simple fact is that probably almost every successful boxer on the planet will have had dealings at one time or another with individuals who are straight up criminals. Why not bring up Golovkins connection with Waldemar Kluch and Universum who were by all accounts a nasty bunch even as promoters go? Is that GGGs responsibility too?
You mention cases, already known in the West. I don't think Waldemar Kluch walks around with a pistol, threatening unruly judges. The point is that GGG now pretends to be a patriot of Kazakhstan, while he is a supporter of the Russian cause.
I honestly believe the TS is an alt of one of the other posters in this thread.
You are wrong. I use only one account in this forum. Also, I have never deleted any comments in my blog, except for spam and scam. Besides, I have never upvoted or liked myself. It is very interesting to learn, what other people think about my humble posts. No interference from my part.
