The result of the fight is one thing.
But the bigger issue of what happend is that --- one of the so called best fighters of our era, Usyk STRUGGLED vs a 37 yr old kickboxer with1 pro fight.
That performance showed the world
that a non professional kickboxer can do that to a top boxer.
that in reality Usyk is not the top P4P boxer in the world.
And it showed that Usyk is no where near the top 10 best boxers of all time.
It also showed me that there are a lot of Usyk supporters in the west, that get extremely offended by this.
usyk is great but it shows what what you can do it you study usyk long enough, didn't rico train 6 months for usyk, whilst usyk had no idea what he's facing.
I hear Bruce Lee studied Ali. You telling me that's not an advantage if Bruce fought Ali
Rico wants a a long boxing career so it was a good stoppage, l ive to fight another day. On the other hand if it was a one off fight for rico then it was premature.
Don't need rematch even if stopped prematurely in.most opinions..It was just an exhibition. I d rather see Rico v moses or other boxers. Why did Rick get shot for title?
Stylistically Filip Hrgovic should be a straight forward fight for Moses Itauma 'if he is as good as his team think'.
Note: I think the fighters who could give Moses Itauma trouble are 'power punchers, who can skill for skill wins rounds against him. Or in general fighters who can make him lose rounds, and stay on the fight against him for the long term'.
Tyson Fury, Anthony Joshua, Oleksandr Uysk 'those level fighters'.
But Filip Hrgovic is a very durable fighter, and he is skill for skill 'a solid level fighter. Hrgovic may have already in his career fought bigger punchers than Itauma such as Zhilei Zhang and Daniel Dubois'.
It is not the share one punch force of Itauma which I think 'has been dismantling fighters. It is the speed, accuracy and placement of his punches'.
But thus far in his career, he has fought a bunch of fighters 'that were all either miles outside their peak, or there with no real serious ambition of winning'.
Filip Hrgovic will go into this fight vs. Moses Itauma with the ambition of winning 'and in his mind? He genuinely most likely believes he is the better fighter'.
I am not one of those individuals in the boxing community who believe 'Moses Itauma is untouchable. I have detected minor signs that he could be a front runner as a fighter. I don't think his innate conditioning and endurance is the best, and this may just be a trait which he has as a fighter'.
To conclude: This is definitively a great fight to make for both fighters 'because they both have a lot to gain from the win. It would be Moses Itauma first top level win, and a win for Filip Hrgovic would propel him back up the ratings to where he was before he fought Daniel Dubois'.
Filip Hrgovic took a big hit in his career 'when he lost to Daniel Dubois. The lost was not expected by many experts in the game, and since then he has been overlooked as a treat to the top elite level fighters'.
I personally think Filip Hrgovic is a solid fighter 'but I would back fighters such as Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua to beat him even at this stage of his career' etc.
Flip has only best Zhang in reality and that was controversial. Flip is decent boxer and good chin but cuts too easy. Yes not many will best Moses but maybe now's the best chance while a bit green
Nel o lost t o bud. But the way I see it is bud had a much longer training camp. Bu d would've known for a while he was going to call Nel o out oneday.
Itauma was never even hit. It is easy looking good fighting cans.
yes, I've not really seen him hit and flip surely will hit moses. But I've heard moses sustained concussion before, not sure if true, :dunno: so someone's hit him
It still remains to be seen how Itauma reacts when he gets hit by big shots.
Im not too sure Flips shots are too big. DDD took them all night. Zhang took them no problem. For sure Flip is a good opponent for him. Will likely be his best opponent to date for sure, so Moses would be going in right direction.
It seems so, and it's only because of Daniel's weird performance in some fights (excluding the one with Joyce) - tough, but also quitting for nothing that hard. He, however, excelled in this fight. Fabio was already exposed for poor boxing fundamentals.
I think beating Parker made Fabio favourite. But on paper it was a pickem. I picked ddd to win
I don't think Fabio needs to learn more. Just Fabio didn't turn up, what he usually does he abandoned. Maybe deal with pressure of taking heavy artillery better, it blanked his mind
He some how was favourite against ddd in 1st fight. Nobody will have Fabio favourite to win in rematch. Could Fabio win rematch? Stranger things have happened, but probably no.
He isn't finished article and he will get better with experience but the entire division is somewhat green as nobody fights.
But he's beating people more convincingly than the top contenders likely would, so he's ready
