i had it 9 rounds to 3 for clottey..my score was 116-110..and i watched this thoroughly..i gave cotto round 1(obviously) round 6 and round 12..something else i would like to point out, i think one of the judges scored the 6th round a 10-8 round for cotto. well i dont see how that is possible because clottey was firing combinations back when he was in the corner..and he was landing flush shots and actually hurt cotto. but i gave that round to cotto for ring generalship and workrate...and i will repeat myself once again I WATCHED EVERY SINGLE ROUND THOROUGHLY!! the story of the fight was cotto throwing shots at clottey's guard and clottey firing back and landing the effective punches. cotto COULD of been given the 11nth round for the two left hooks he landed at the end of the round but i gave it to clottey because he controlled the round and landed more shots than cotto. if you diasagree with me, EXPLAIN why dont just say "your retarded" blah blah..give me a reason why im wrong.
I've heard outragious scoring for this fight, but this is by far the worst.
Everybody keeps talking about cottos performance against clottey. Did anyone ever see any of clotteys fights? If so, then yall know that clottey is an uncomftable fight for anyone With that shell defense. Just like winky wright in his prime. Styles make fights and the only fighters cotto has had problems with are the come forward iron jaw fighters. Manny is the total opposite of that
Cotto deserves this fight against manny more then anybody. Cotto beat quintana, zab judah, mosely and clottey in the welterweight division. And if it wasnt for them brick hands, he would of beat margo too. Mayweather beat a washed up delahoja and a lil welterweight in hatton. You tell me who's pound for pound after manny.
Pampered? stop hating. That man deserves all the credit. Not only is he acceting these tough fights, hes winning. Fought a tough guy like clottey for 9 rounds with a big gash over his eyebrow and still pulled it off. Cotto is a warrior . Guts and glory.
