You're comparing Charr, Wach, Valuev and Peter to Joe Louis, Ezzard Charles, Rocky Marciano, Baer, Schmeling, Billy Conn just to name a few? That's awesome. What a cool alt. Yes I am comparing them, like you did earlier in this thread. Charr, Wach, Valuev and Peter are heavyweights whilst the names you mention are mostly light heavyweights and crusierweights.

Today the heavyweight division is terrible. The top guys won't fight each other and most are unskilled with little stamina. Lets put it this way, when guys like Sam Peter and Valuev can win a peice of the pie, you know the division sucks. When scrubs like Pianeta and Charr, Wach etc. are giveen title shots you know the division sucks. Sam Peter and Valuev whatever there flaws are better fighters though. There have been worse title challengers than Pianeta and Charr. Regardless of whether this heavyeweight division is terrible it is still alot better than Walcotts.

Better fighters than who? I'd be happy to do a skills comparison if anyone really wants to debate that with me. Joe Louis, Ezzard Charles, Rocky Marciano, Schmeling and Billy Conn Skill comparisons mean nothing, those fighters would have severe disadvantages in size and weight against Wladimir. If your to compare them them to present fighters do it with guys like Huck and Lebedev. Bellew and Cleverley would be more competitive matchups though.

There was no cruiserweight division then so that point is irrelevant. And not a single one of these fighters ever fought a heavyweight fight at the lightheavyweight limit so that point is also moot. You're attempting to do a h2h comparison instead of looking at how things really were. Wladimir has fought far better heavyweight opposition. You only had one belt back then but it doesnt really mean much when the fighters were really light-heavyweights and cruiserweights. All these HOF, ATG labels are based on nostalgia by old-timers. Back then the heavyweight division was terrible. So being a 'great' in that era means absolutley nothing. In todays era Walcott, Louis, Marciano etc would all be average cruiserweights at best. Guys like Huck and Lebedev would make easy work of them.
