First post! I was also there and it was insanely loud. Mayweather and the whole TMT got it real bad. I felt bad for him. Major props to him for going through the abuse and saying what he had to say. I forgot who it was but Shaefer or De La Hoya said we were the loudest city of the tour so far. The Canelo chants were so loud Canelo said he was getting chills.
No he didn't sign *****tttttt lol he got the f out.
Yeah Mayweather left as soon as it ended. I didn't even see him leave. The crowd vibe in the queue was awesome. There was a point were we started chanting "WALGREENS" when we saw walgreens workers observing us from a walgreens next to the theatre. It was dumb as ****.
LOL I remember that! Did you see the homeless guy selling beer?
Lol! Yep. He got booed then came back with beer and got a huge reception. Coronas so all the Mexicans jumped on those. Then he came back with bud lights I think.
Oscar got a good reception, no surprise. Ellerbe got booed bad but tried to kiss ass by bringing up the BlackHawks, got cheered for that but immediately got booed right after. :lol1:
Haha. Forgot about that. Oscar also had a smirk on his face like, yeahhhh. This is all for me. lol. I hope they realized boxing has potential here and they host more boxing events here in the future.
man, i was planning on going ever since they announced they were stopping here. i woke up today feeling like crap, looked outside and it was wet outside. i thought it would rain later during the day as well (like 3-6). i told myself if i was to go i'd head over there around 11/12, but i ended up skipping out on it. when did you guys get there? (the ones who went to the presser) on the chicago theater's twitter they said they were going to hand out tickets at 3 and the presser would start at 6. were a lot of people able to take pics and get stuff signed?
I got there around 12. Even then we got good spots near the front. They gave out tickets at 3 but they were general admission. In other words, first come first serve. So it was advised to stay in line to get good seats. And the security was kind of bad. Couple fights almost broke out. A lot of em were involved with people who had a buzz going from drinking in line.
My friend and I watched this fight and I ended up falling asleep for like 2 rds. I woke up and looked at him and dude was sleeping too. Never cared to re- watch what I missed.
