i love roy jones as a comentator, paulie is even better, would LOVE to see floyd as a commentator.. not only do they know boxing better (jones would comment on things i didnt even know existed even though ive been in the ring) but they are also more HONEST. while jim lampley is lying about who landed the punches, jones would be honest. the commentating can still be exciting without straight up lying about whats going on.
Ricardo Mayorga - Fearless, tough, he will be a tank so the other guys can work
Mike Tyson - Offensive rusher, knocking out or at least pushing them back
David Tua - tank to pierce through their formation and move them around
Maidana - will be ****ing guys up when they are focused on not getting john ruiz'd by tua and tyson
Gamboa - too fast to hit, will counter, and just be a major distraction if you are tough enough to survive.
Miguel Cotto - power hitter, will be landing bodyshots, aggressive
Canelo - power hitter, legit boxer puncher, distract you long enough for tua to hit you from the blind side
i think with power its not just about being strong, speed accounts for a lot of it too so i think some light heavies could hold their own
like mosley said.. some guys have thudding power like cotto, and others like pacquiao arent necessarily strong but have a lot of snap.
but they say no matter how much you soup up a v6 it will never beat a good v8 so im thinking the best light heavies probably cant compete with the best heavies of all time. but me at 160 hit harder than a lot of heavyweights that never trained lol
