Both Wlad and TOS lost 2 of their last 6 but TOS beat a Top 10 and a Top 15 fighter in his last 2. Wlad beat Eliseo Castillo who was barely in the Top 50. If anyone deserves a title shot its Monte Barret ... who won 9 of his last 10 ... against multiple fringe ranked guys including 2 prospects and he has a stoppage win in a legitimate WBC and IBF title eliminator.
On a side note, I atleast respect Wladimir. Atleast he has beatin' fighters worth a damn.
Viturdi on the other hand would rather fight turds.
Whats up you goofy son of a bitch. :fuckyou:
Gatti looks like he's about to faint.
Gatti always looks like that during a weigh-in. At the scales for Gamache he looked like he just got his ass kicked in by a heard of buffalo after fighting a 10 year battle with AIDS. And he was STILL overweight.
He'll be fine.
The sports bar will charge a 'cover-charge' of about $10-15, so it isn't illegal because they buy the ppv event for, I've heard up to $5000.
Oh ... I guess I just live in a cheap jew town because our bar owners scoff at the idea of shelling out distribution costs for PPV events.
I might go the local sports bar and watch the fight, by the way how much is the pay-per-view?
They still do that in Boston? Its illegal now for sports bars to show a PPV event ... its considered distribution. I would call around first to make sure a place is definately showing it before you get assed out and end up watching Tuesday Night Fights on OnDemand.
You show me one Current Champ (in any division) who is fighting 4 times a year (not from the past)
Oscar Larios and Zab Judah fought 4 times in a 12 month span since the beginning of 04'.
Oscar is a class fighter and should be an example for others. He fought ANYBOYD ... ANYTIME.
Mayweather is coming up on his 34th fight and his only career defining win was against a toothpick Corrales 5 years, 10lbs and 2 divisions ago.
By that time in Oscar's career he already won 5 world titles in 3 different divisions with 15 total defenses and he fought 6 Future Hall of Famers.
Oscar is a legend.
so what your saying is that Ivan Robinson and Manfredy are better then Mayweather? Robinson almost stopped Gatti in their second fight and dominated him.
I played Single A baseball 5 years ago ... I haven't picked up a bat since then but I'm sure I'm the exact same player I was then. Things never change ... people never get better or worse over a half decade. New coaches and trainers have absolutely no influence whatsoever. Lifestyle changes and drug abuse habits being dropped have no bearing on an athletes performance.
Seriously, go kill yourself.
Why because I said Castillo would drown your boy late? Castillo is in a different class than both Gatti and Ward.
CASTILLO GOT STOPPED 6 TIMES.
I don't care if it was because of cuts. You don't get shredded up and stopped 6 times because you're winning fights with defensive wizardry.
HAHA, you try that kid!
You're making an idiot out of yourself and I suggest that you crawl back to that shit hole you came from and save us all some bandwidth
I just reported you for foul language. We don't support that type of behavior here.
asshole.
No way is Ward in the top 10 body punchers of all time. Ward's lefthook to the body will look like nothing compared to Castillo's out all body attack with both hands.
You're a fucking idiot.
Again, you people have been watching too much of Gatti/Gamache.
Gatti/Gamache doesn't even do it justice since that Joey outweighed this Mayweather by 8lbs.
Floyd may leave the ring on a stretcher too.
I don't get it... many people who post on the mayweather vs. gatti fight seem to believe that Gatti has even greater than a small chance to defeat mayweather. Some even go as far as saying that he will KO mayweather devastatingly and easily. Isn't it obvious that Gatti has a miniscule chance of defeating Mayweather? If Gatti defeats mayweather, that would be an upset (talent-wise) on the level of tyson vs. douglas or Tarver vs. Jones 2. So why all the people who think Gatti has a great chance? Is it a mass delusion?
Oh I don't know ... maybe its the 20lb weight advantage and 1200% power difference.
Leija has a better chance of getting in the HOF than Ward. Mickey Ward is tough and comes to brawl but he is in no way deserving to be in the Hall Of Fame.
Bobby Chacon just got inducted asshole. Ward will be the chairman.
mayweather is gonna float like a butterfly and sting like a bee, gatti can't hit what his eyes can't see
Its hard to float and sting when you got a foot lodged up your ass. Gatti is gonna stomp a mudhole in Gayweathers vagina.
ahahahah ... Gatti isn't as skilled as Castillo? Castillo makes Ricardo Mayorga look like Winky Wright. He's been stopped a half dozen times by unrecognizable fighters and is nowhere near Gatti's skill level. Have you ever seen that dude throw a jab?
The topic says who hits harder ... definetly Gatti has more punching power than Floyd, that's a clear fact. Mayweather has more skills than Gatti, that's a fact. My prediction, as I have stated, is that Gatti will pour it on after he is beign ouboxed in the firt rounds and will catch Mayweather @ some point and TKO him.
No ... it doesn't. If you passed the 4th grade you could see that this thread was asking who hits harder between Gatti and Floyd's wife.
So in order to be a skilled fighter, you have to throw a Jab?!
Good one genius!
Everyone has different styles, but Gatti is a pure brawler and not a boxer and I guess everyone knows that except for you.. and Brawlers are not skilled as boxers are..
Different styles!
BTW,
Just for your information, I am a Gatti fan, but unlike most of Gatti's dilusional fanatics, I don't think he has a chance against Mayweather.
That was hands down the most idiotic post I have ever seen in my entire life. Not one thing you said or suggested was accurate. Not ONE THING. Especially the part about you being a Gatti fan. Complete bullshit. Now quit while you're behind and get off my thread before I take a monster shit all over your existence here.
Haha.. See I told you not to respond to this moron!
I put him on my ignore list but I still See his blinded comments in your replies..
BTW, this is someone who said:
And later on calls you a fucking idiot.
Classic!
"Put me on your ignore list"?
What a fucking bitch you turned out to be. If I had Floyd Mayweathers morals I'd keep tatooing your ass.
Here is another retard that should be banned, but he's sure going on my ignore list with the rest of the idiots
Shut your pie hole before I drop a pipe busting duggan in your mouth.
Castillo is proven on the world class level and Gatti has only proven he can take a beating on the world class level. How many times has Gatti been cut up? His defense isn't great by a mile. Gatti just got breaks in his fights that Castillo didn't that's why the fights were stopped.
Castillo steps up on the world class level? He's 11-7 in title fights with 5 TKO losses. Gatti is 10-0 in title fights you shit for brains asshole.
Yeah, but Gamache wasn't on Mayweather's level of talent.
I got a question, after Gatti loses on saturday, will you still be posting here?
Gatti is a bum, my friend.
You can't name anyone good he beat up.
He beat 2 future hall of famers in the last 2 years. And I'm only posting here now because Larry at Boxing Insider doesn't like to pay his bills.
Actually I do, just because if wins this fight, he is going to be a ppv fighter all of the time and is going to fight major fights. He doesnt need to be like Gatti to get a fan base. Roy Jones wasnt either was Ray Lenoard or Shane Mosley. All big fighters, all he has to do is win convincly
Roy Jones was never a major PPV draw despite his dominance. And he wasn't the cross over athlete that he wanted to be no matter how hard he tried to work co-branding themes with Jordan. Thats a major misconception people have about Jones. They assume because of his ability that he was some sort of cash cow which is not at all the case.
Leonard was paid well because the media painted a pretty face on him and groomed him for stardom right out of the olympics. He was doing 7up commercials when he was 19 years old because he had that sort of appeal. Mayweather never had that appeal, by his own admission and likely never will.
Just winning fights isnt good enough. In fact, the easier he makes it look, the LESS popular he will become. The best thing that could happen to his bank account would be for him to get knocked out and show humility. He'll catch a fan base and if he can return to dominance, it will actually be appreciated.
You mentioned De La Hoya's win against Gatti and how DLH Ko'd him so easily. To me this is the same kind of fight...Mayweather is the smaller, more inexperienced, up and coming fighter and Gatti is the bigger, more experienced aging champion.
You just completely contradicted yourself. This fight and the Oscar fight have nothing in common.
