Why is the most corrupt ref in boxing in bed with HBO? Even after a 2006 fight where he placed his hand over his microphone...and told Juan Marquez "You're ahead on the score cards".
I am actually part of a team that is putting together the initial blue print for an upcoming episode of Conspiracy Theory hosted by Jesse Ventura....regarding the Cole-HBO corrupt connection.....and let's just say it will have the balls to do what the so-called mainstream press has failed to do.
See....if you piss off HBO....they yank your press passess. Which is why the true outrage never comes from these so-called journalists....they come from us...fans who love boxing and have the balls to step up and not worry about losing banner ads or press passes etc.
I can tell you this much.....HBO might come looking worse then Laurence Cole as let's just say some of us are privvy to certain details regarding "the insurance business."
Oh yeah.....Laurcence Cole owns one. And google his name some time and tell me if you've ever seen and insurance company witha webiste address like his? The corruption of Laurence Cole goes far beyond his blunders in the ring, his suspension for what amounted to an effort to fix a fight......to his participation in the very fights he himself "insures." And of course in typical southern justice style filled with judges that judge what they're told to judge.
And insurance is expensive bro. Laurence Cole has let's say "good rates". lol

If that's the best Canada has to offer in terms of a "champion".....Canada be in serious trouble....cuz Pascal who is presumably in his prime.....let an old man out work his ass...and decision aside......Bernard Hopkins in nearly 46 years old.
Sorry.....but you not allowed to do what Hopkins did last night at that age.....not in a boxing ring against a younger in his "prime" fighter. lol But he did do it....cuz we all watched it.
Win, lose or draw....Benard Hopkins always seems to expose the other guys flaws. He exposed Taylor even in defeat as a guy vulnerable in the late rounds. He exposed Kelly Pavlik in victory....and tonight he exposed Pascal as a guy whose ticker has to be questioned based on his "performance" which was about as inspiring as watching grass grow.
And lets not forget......Hopkins didn't lose this fight. It was declared a draw.
The fact we're even debating the outcome of the decision proves that Father Time must of missed BHOP's address when he took his latest census.
Body language is a *****....it speaks volumes.
Look at the end of that fight....and tell me Pascal thought he'd won it. If he believed his own bull**** and thought either knock down was legit...why didn't he jump all over the old man.
Why did he look tired, dazed and confused for the last two thirds of the fight?
This clown says Hopkins isn't really a good fighter...he's just ackward. LMAO.
Pascal couldn't hold Hopkins joke strap in his prime.....funny thing is....I don't think he could hold it now. And deep down..he knows it too.
Sure the fight was "close" in terms of scoring if you factor in the two "knock downs"......but Pascal didn't have the courage to follow up.....and basically got schooled....and out worked by an old man.
And in the end....didn't even get the win.....got a lucky DRAW.
Kudos to Hopkins....never my favorite fighter....but the fact this man can still compete at this level.....at his age.....is beyond remarkable.
Look at all the dudes he's fought....where are they now?
Hopkins continues to defeat the one opponent that should have ko'd his ass long ago.....Father Time. Remarkable athlete....and I doubt we'll see too many post 40 fighters like him again.

How ironic that the corrupt Laurence Cole who went out of his way to try and get Juan Marquez to quit in a 2006 fight by telling him "he was ahead on the score cards" ......is the same ref who lets a guy with two swollen eyes closed come out for the 12th round.
We know Laurence "insures" the very fights his daddy Dickie Cole appoints him to......so obviously someone else picked up the tab for this one.
Pac Man is a class act. Hard to believe a guy who actually shows up to fight....gives it his all.....shows some respect for his opponent takes so much **** from boxing fans....who would rather talk about a guy in Vegas who is alleged to have slapped a woman.....rather then a boxer.

While it's common knowledge that Texas good ol' boy/ insurance agent/hand picked referee-- Laurence Cole is flat out corrupt and crooked......times 10....and a slime ball who should have been banned from boxing long ago for a list of sins......Joe Cortez just plain sucks.
Joe Cortez is flat out the most distracting, ticky tack zebra in the ring. He reminds me of some of these NBA referees who blow their whistles if a player coughs too loud.
Cortez must believe that infighting of any kind is either "illegal" or.... his opportunity to stop the action....kill the momentum..... and get some more "camera" time.
This dude ****s up the momentum of more fights then any ref I've seen lately....and this bald headed chicken plucker has gotten worse as he's grown more senile.
Aint no boxing fan interested in spending money to watch a fight only to have this jerk off....stop the action at any and every opportunity.
Watch a Kenny Bayless refereed fight sometime. You barely notice the dude is even there.....and that's a good referee.....a guy who doesn't need "catch phrases"....a guy who lets fighters fight. Period.

Not only did he tell Marquez he was ahead...notice how this slimy bastard puts his hands over his "mic" because HE KNEW what he was doing....and didn't want anyone else to hear him. Credit to Marquez...for going on even when Larry wanted that fight over for what ever reason. Maybe....he had a little action down in Vegas on the round. lol
The next time we see him on HBO after being suspended....it's a big time fight...and the only one who had the balls to mention anything about the 2006 fight was Larry Merchant who made a comment to the effect...."Wow...hard to believe Laurence Cole is getting rewarded after his last dispicable appearance...etc." (Funny how nobody else on HBO's team had **** to say the second time around.... and at least Merchant didn't sell out...and he's right. This guy should have refed during a Primo Canera fight..he's that crooked.
On a side note....when the fight in 2006 was "replayed" they did a cute little edit job on Cole's comments......HBO proved they were ******* and ran and hid rather then admit the ref is a crook....who owns an insurance company in Texas that in fact...insures BOXING.

How ironic that HBO is spinning this fight around the controversy of Margarito suspension and/or whether he knew or not etc.
Yet at the same time...they make no mention of Laurence Cole whose own actions clearly prove he's a corrupt crook. Nothing ambiguous about it. And I'm not even going into the numerous blunders he's made in the ring.....which are so numerous we could write a book.
He to was suspended and given a token chump change fine....and yet not one word is discussed about it.
When the very insurance company you OWN underwrites BOXING EVENTS you are a part of.....is the ultimate conflict of interest. Because you now have a VESTED INTERST IN THE OUTCOME.
Why do you think a Laurence Cole continues to get these big fights.....here and overseas despite his reputation....and prior history???
