Benavidez couldn't even get Plant out of there and he is supposedly labeled as the biggest puncher ever at 168.
Ko's dont always happen.
Plant is a mover. Canelo is not. I think Benavidez would turn it into a Mexican war. I'm not sure Canelo can handle that at this stage of his career. He needs to fight people who show him respect. Benavidez would show none.
Floyd made a killing going the distance... but people paid to see him lose
Canelo is making a killing going the distance... but people pay to see him win, and win by KO..
That he didn't KO Charlo tells me he misses those mexican eggs... He hit Charlo, clean, multiple times. Canelo doesn't have the power he once had.
He can go the distance, but someone like Benavidez is going to be the one to dethrone him, not The Chalo's or Spence.
Love told the ringside physician, "I can't see." He replied to Love, "Are you quitting?" Love shouldn't have been asked that question. The physician should know that this is IMMEDIATE grounds for stopping a bout, and it would have went to the judges, because it was accidental and after four rounds.
Instead, Love has to say, "Hell nah, I ain't quitting", become frustrated with Spark, toss him over the ring, and lose by DQ.
Boxing is a scam
The heavyweight division is wide open in 3-5 years, especially after Anderson's brutal defeat. But coming back, at 39, after five years of inactivity, spells a recipe for CTE.
Boxing really shouldn't be letting anyone box past 37, really. But hey- Mike is fighting professionally at 58, so who cares?
I think this fight is more dangerous, and rewarding, for Joshua than it was for Fury.
Fury had no idea, and didn't prepare, and was embarrassed.
If Joshua is embarrassed, it'll plummet his stock. But if he dismantles Francis, it'll stir the pot and get the rumblings for the Fury-Joshua fight to take place.
Rooting for Joshua to win, and Francis to prove he's the third best Heavyweight. Joshua-Fury, Francis-Zhang co-main event.
Professionals wear 8 oz or 10 oz gloves, and fight three minutes rounds, unless they are women..
This is simply a marketing ploy.
They'll renege after the fight, like they did with Holyfield when he fought in his mid 50's..
I dont think the fight will ever happen at this point, or if it does it wont be May or anytime soon. Fury is either never gonna take the fight or hes gonna fully age Usyk out. If the May date falls through (it will) Usyk should just bow out imo, guy is a 37 year old small HW, the risk/reward of sticking around isnt great for him.
"Small Heavyweight" is a term that needs to cease. There's nothing small about any man who weighs 201+, regardless of height..
And he's 6'3, for Heaven's sake! Mike Tyson was 5'10.
The only thing "small" about Usyk is that he competed as a Cruiserweight.
Which only proves my point.
Dude couldn’t make weight even with a powerful weight cutting ped in his system.
I don't understand how that makes your point . Lol..
He couldn't make weight with a powerful weight cutting ped in his system....
Think about that..
When you say, "I'm done calling guys out", and then the next day on the Internet start calling guys out, you make yourself look like a . This business is simple, really: make or take a contract offer, train, and show up ready to fight on fight night. This "talk" just makes him look young and ignorant.
Having the ability to counter is still offensive. Having one of the highest ko%s in the sport is offensive. He’s had some highlight reel ko’s. Labeling him strictly defensive makes you look foolish. Just say you don’t like him instead of pushing a false narrative. For the record I think shakur beats him.
Ok.. lol
Jake is 0-1 against actual boxers
Man, what is an "actual boxer"? Anyone who steps in the ring is an actual boxer; most have other jobs besides being a boxer, too. So, what's the criteria?
Let's run through 168 first..
Even though, no 168 fighter is beating Bivol, and definitely not Beterbeiv...
Mine as well leave that division alone for a few years..
I told my wife that Ryan and Rolly Romero would be a more interesting fight; they have very similar styles. "Tank KO Rolly in the 6th; I'll give Ryan one more round." I didn't bet on it, because I rewatched Ryan's bout with Luke Campbell last night, and gave his left hook a chance to beat Tank.
Unfortunately, Ryan's left hook is not world class. If it was, he wouldn't have been over-shooting on Tank. He had no idea how to measure Tank correctly, and it caused him to be knocked down in the 2nd.
Everything aside, great event for the sport of boxing. Now, we need Loma to beat Haney so we can get Loma vs Davis, and Davis can look like a fool.
Loma will reclaim his rightful throne.
So Errol gives everybody 50/50
but when it comes to the biggest fight of your career you wanna lowball the only other champion in the division ?
And that's cool with is it , Spence Sexuals need to make the **** make sense period 100%
If you think Ugas or Garcia or anyone else got 50/50 with Errol, you are speciall
You're ignoring that Fury is getting slaughtered. Bowe tells him to retire. A dozen other boxing luminaries have said he has embarrassed boxing,. Many others have said Ngannou won. yet others have said Fury is in decline and many others have said that the notion that Fury is an ATG on a level with Lewis, Ali and Louis is now laughable - yet TreD states that "Fury will continue to be praised" in the face of all contrary evidence - GTFOH
