Uhmm He wants to prove he's the best?..
ive lost count of the number of times muggins has said "were not fightin to prove to the fans who the best is" so how is he fightin for that reason? he thinks hes already the best so doesn't wanna prove it. even though he hadnt fought the best..(i dont get it either)
i reckon he had no choice, time was tickin away and what with pac announcing his next fight the pressure was on. he knew he had to make a big statement or the few fans he had left would of stopped supportin him. in floyds ideal world he wouldn't fight shane. people wont give him credit when he wins cos theyll say "shane is over the hill" which isnt really fair .. irrespective of the reasons behind takin the fight, he took it none the less. credit for that.
Why doesn't Haye just go in there, deck him and collect 10,000 for 2 seconds work?
Haye offered to be a sparring partner for him but he didnt take it so i doubt hes gonna waste his time on him. im not 100% but im sure fury said it was because it was too far for him to travel.. but hes willing to go to america to get sparring:ugh:
Does it count if he knocks himself down while Im sparring with him?
lmao. idk. i cant beleive the interviewer didnt ask ... How much of a doofus did u feel when u gave urself an uppercut ?
probably shuda mentioned.
if you want to take fury up on his sparring offer - and you are a professional heavyweight - ring Danny Flexen on 0207 618 3098 and he'll pass ur details on.
lol any1 fancy it..
Yeah, and they havent even really started the normal press tour.
fuk me. this sh*t is gonna go off. seriously cant wait for 24/7 and the rest of the promotional stuff.
At first, I said I would go with the unbeaten one but after reconsidering, I'd go with the one whose records show that he'd fight anyone. At least, I know he's not going to run away, he ain't too old or he could get ko'd with one punch. Cotto's my man.
amen to that brother..
boring??? nah, if u truly are a fan of boxing, and u see the skills and things he does to a opponent and u understand positioning and ring generalship he is anything but boring
I LIKE HIM AS FIGHTER . i love watchin him in the ring, the only time i can bear him. as soon as the bellend opens his mouth he spoils it
this is gr8 stuff . if manny really said that im glad, floyd deserves to be slammed by every1 cos of how much of a f**kin little prik he is. if hes angry at floyd (and they eventually meet) pac will be ferocious.
Yeah sure..anger always makes fighters better:no:
Its also a side affect of steroids.
i just think if pac wants to win so bad hel fight better. him and roach are too smart to go in all guns blazin against such a terrific counter puncher though. manny might be pissed off but it wont get the better of him because if i know that floyd is just fulla sh*t then he does aswell .it still does astound me however why people still like mayweather despite the fact hes a deeply boring, hypocritical, arrogant, moaning, compulsive lying, pretentious sociopath. I LIKE HIM AS A FIGHTER BTW
Boxing needs fans and diehards. and im sorry if i misread.
im just annoyed. im annoyed at this place, thus i might have wrongly taken it out on youre topic.
i havent been here long but......(sorry to state the obvious) ppl make threads on the same thing over n over again.how much can realy happen in the boxing world in 1 day? not very much. boxing moves slow, far to slow for the over excited prepubescent posters on this site. ( alot of guys are cool however)
Please read the topic. It's not about fanboys in NSB but how boxing needs fanboys right now. It's not about NSB.
i see lol. o well at least i got that off my chest
theres plenty of fighters I cant stand but I dont go to threads when posted to talk shit about them.... i like to get on her to talk about boxing not bitch about another grown ass man... grow up pacfart alt
good job. well done
yeah because he has been caught lying before.... try again pacfart
how the fuk am i a "pacfart" ? i prefer manny to floyd because floyds a mug i just dont like him... not for the way he fights but cos hes a c*nt but i still pick mayweather to win if they ever fight so u try again ..
lol this is funny i never thought id see tyson on a show like this. i bet those judges were afraid to give him a bad score lol.seriously though its good to see mike with a smile on his face again. well done for uploading.
They weren?t trying to win on points. In The Contender, every fight is important. ?My girlfriend and I bet on The Contender. We each had to pick a fighter on the first night, then we got £50 for each time they won with £100 on the final. She picked Bika and I picked Codrington, so we were even before the final, then she took £100 off me in the final!?Ricky lives with his wager-winning girlfriend, Jane Fallon, a TV producer, and their dog Ollie in Hampstead, north London. She (Jane, not Ollie), is a big boxing fan, too, having accompanied Ricky to Watson-Eubank I and Frank Bruno-James ?Bonecrusher? Smith. They also watch the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) on TV and Ricky feels boxing could learn some lessons from the mixed martial arts organisation.?They get bonuses for knockouts and fines for lack of aggression, so excitement is incentivised. It?s still in its infancy in comparison to boxing and I would rather watch a classic boxing match than a great UFC match any day. But out of 10 matches, there will be maybe one exciting boxing match and nine exciting UFC matches. ?But my heart will always be with boxing due to its history and its heroes who changed the world. It?s my favourite sport ? it?s noble.?Ricky?s passion for boxing is fervent. This interview took a while to finish for two main reasons: 1. Ricky was (unsurprisingly) very busy, shooting a film in New York when we spoke and 2. Once you start talking to him about boxing, you absolutely cannot get him to stop! In fact, Ricky is such a big fan, he once indulged in the televised Celebrity Boxing, facing entrepreneur and partner (now husband) of TV presenter Anthea Turner, Grant Bovey. Gervais was trained for the charity match (in 2002) by Frank and Eugene Maloney at the Fight Factory in south London. But it wasn?t just the good cause that sparked Ricky?s interest.?It was an excuse to learn to box. I stupidly agreed to do it when I was the unfittest I?ve been in my life. Because of that, Frank Maloney taught me how to
how to have a ruck, rather than box.?There was a big adrenalin rush before the bell and then you just go mental ? I thought my heart was going to explode. ?He was ?Granite? Grant Bovey and I was Ricky ?Balboa?. I won by one point . We both wanted to die at the end. All my injuries were self-inflicted. I was swinging punches like a bloody cartoon, seriously, and using muscles I?d never used before. ?I still do boxing now. Someone trains me at home. The minutiae of each punch is incredible. It?s taken me three years just to get the jab right. You never stop learning.?Ricky is a big fan of Calzaghe?s, and British boxers in general for that matter.?I?m so impressed with Joe. He is one of the best fighters ever but doesn?t get the plaudits he deserves. I?m right behind Calzaghe and Hatton because I?m British, but also, of course, because they?re great.?
i can see marquez as a trainer when he retires. the guy has one of the best boxing IQ among active fighters
yeah possibly. the thing is i think its hard for some fighters to consistently coach or give orders from a neutral stand point because the fighter in them will sometimes take over and get the better of them. they just tell the fighter to do this or do that because thats what they would of done. e.g. Joe Frazier and his son Marvis...
