Imo it was a bit early, AJ wasnt landing anything substantial Klit was (appeared to be doing an Ali "rope a dope) to reset...but the ref(this particular ref i hold much contempt for every fight he ignores dirty moves fails to make legit calls & more..dirty...) He also didn't "catch" in 5th where AJ headlocked, pulled and punched Klit to the mat. That was not a legitimate knockdown. ..watch it in slow mo.....also let that body shot AJ threw while both being held by ref slide... I know I'm new but imo in Shobox the dirtiest fighters seem to always come out on top...

Common sense? Perfect example of boxing tripping over its own dick again. The first fight is hotly contested and when given the chance to do something that seems like the obvious, fair thing to do, they refuse. Who knows who we will end up with but it shouldn't be three Americans. I'm a total newbie but to me that makes sense and with all the political brush fires burning about the Russians I feel he would not get a fair judging by strictly American judges

Yeah it was a dirty fight but still somewhat enjoyable??? Much, much better than Thurman vs. Danny Garcia??? That fight I thought was going to be really good and instead I was like... :eek: :alcoholic:alcoholic You caught the elbows and low blows so you know more than 90% that post on this site. I also was like???? When Berto got warned for the rabbit punches when Porter just landed 2-3 of his own before that?? Very odd refereeing in the fight??? Porter has two bloody eyes yet they keep looking at Berto's one that wasn't nearly as bad??? I admit I missed parts of TvG ...I kept falling asleep...we expected two Boxer-Punchers instead Thurman switched it up deciding to straight box and he employed the Ali tactic of shaving rounds....He talked big about knocking Garcia out then all he did was land a few punches and run the whole fight..Impo Garcia won the exchanges but Thurman threw more ...was tight and as Thurman said he did what he had to do to win..he felt Garcias power so changed his tactics...and I fell asleep...PvB I was wide awake and cussing... I don't care for most of the SHO Refs imho ALWAYS back TMT

But they are not intentional...his aggressive style is prone to that and he's just as often the victim of it if not more often. OOO buuuullllshiiiiznit, he's it using as a battering ram the same way ward did against mikkel kessler. It's not boxing, and it's illegal, refs are missing our when they don't punish that tactic. It does a lot of damage and opens cuts I argued the same w/fiance!! I rew,ff,and paused so many times I had to replace the batteries in my remote proving it to him... I've seen a few Porter fights and never do I recall seeing him blatantly fight so dirty. I was appalled by his tactics.. I've seen unfortunately quite a few Fighters that fight dirty with headbutts,elbows, and sneaky low blows as well and without referees actively penalizing for each offense (past what is to be expected from 2 orthodox fighters) encourages more of the cowardly behavior. IMPO

In boxing there is being a dirty fighter and there is being a cheater. Dirty Fighters head butt and wrestle around but that's considered part of boxing it's different from being a cheater...but it's also dirty and Shawn Porter is considered a dirty fighter..he is not a polished fighter he is a mauler..he did what he thought he had to, to break Bertos rythm, to stop his speed and jab..

How would we do compubox on that??? Headbutt launches?? We would need two more categories. Headbutts launched and headbutts connect %??? Don't forget Elbows and Low blows I'm fully aware I'm new to boxing but DZAMN that fight seemed so dirty Mr. Clean got TKO'd just watching.. Impo headlocks and arm holding is dirty...but I'm still learning. .. 🤓
