Thanks for responding and the info. Green K.
The two things I read are: weight drained and tune up. If it is under boxing rules, Katie smokes Holly.
Katie Taylor is one of my favorite boxers right now.
I say tune up because she’s been doing MMA for the past few years, which has less focus on boxing. Would need to get back into rhythm of throwing punches only. Those factors you mentioned though definitely favour Katie right now.
Are they in the same weight class? I thought Holly was much bigger.
Katie is fighting at 135. Holly was fighting at 135 before. Then she moved up to 145, I still think she can make 135 though. Fight with Katie Taylor would be good if Holm has a few tune ups in boxing.

I hate this narrative being thrown about Burton and this fight being a step back. It's a really good fight and would be Yarde's toughest test to date. I watched Burton Buglioni and it was one of my favourite fights of 2016, arguably one of the fights of the year. Burton was CLEARLY winning the fight until he gassed out and got hurt late in the 12th rd, in which he got stopped. Buglioni basically needed a stoppage or several knockdowns in that round to win the fight. The difference between Burton and Buglioni is not much as the fight was still very competitive. I would definetly like to see the fight and how he would deal with someone as tall as Burton. If Yarde beats him, it then makes the Buglioni fight bigger as they now how have a common opponent, which you can compare performances with. As of right now we don't how good Yarde is because we don't know anyone that he's fought, Burton would bring that. If anything they should of fought Ricky Summers instead of this Ford guy, if that was a possibility in September. Yarde is a big prospect for BT Sport, so they cannot afford to let him fight on Sky. They would maybe entertain the fight on BT sport but they aren't willing to pay what Hearn and Sky are. The Buglioni fight is a great fight to make and is stylistically easier for Yarde than Burton fight is. I still don't know if I believe that Yarde is 6ft because he was listed at 5ft 9 on boxrec before (I know boxrec makes mistakes). I would have to see him stood next to Buglioni or someone who I know is definetly 6ft or taller to make a judgement on his true height. Some people have said that he looks short in person, some say he looks 6ft. Weird. Beating Burton would mean he earned his shot for the British title. Either way Burton or Buglioni I don't care which one gets made, as long as one does.
They wanted no part of Rodriguez - which is why they pushed for quick unification anyway. Not big deal, I guess Rodriguez preferred easier touch for vacant title himself.
I heard WBSS is rumoured at 118... so eventually Burnett might get a chance to win the belt back, as well as the other two.
I hope it’s not 118. It’s not an exciting division.
I have no issue with this fight, he’s coming off a loss. He will have a big fight later in the year. Danny tends to fight down to the level of his competition, so it might end up being an exciting and competitive fight.
Of course went from record payday probable great fight record live gait to fighting guy Vlad destroyed who shouldn't be mandatory did nothing since
Harsh, he's not Bermane Stiverne. He's done stuff since the Klitschko loss. Granted his last two fights have been atrocious.
Will be AB's best win on his resume if he defeats Mikey. And the same for Mikey if he wins. If AB wins clear I can see people making excuses like "he rehydrated heavy to 160+ lbs or Mikey wasn't ready or isn't 140lb fighter" Hopefully no excuses either side after the fight. If AB loses he's finished imo, must win fight for his career.
Chudinov, like his brother or cousin or whatever, has an insane chin. Holy crap.
Yeah him and his brother Dmitry have granite chins. Dmitry fought Eubank jr and took so much punishment in their fight, he wouldn't give in. I will say though that Eubank doesn't have that knockout power.
A dream fight for Fury to come back with. PPV, a few million quid and a pretty straightforward knockout victory that would get loads of publicity.
Highly doubt it happens next though.
Tyson needs a tune up first. He’s been out of the ring for 2 years. Charr, David Price or Briggs would be cool as tuneups. I think Charr has to face Oquendo next so that’s unlikely. Briggs would be good for the buildup, the actual fight wouldn’t be that good. The Price fight would be entertaining while it lasts and Price beat him in the amateurs. That being said he could fight Bellew straight away but it’s better if he builds himself back up against someone like Price.
Fonfara fight took a lot out of him, was an absolute war. The same could be said for Fonfara himself too. Taking punishment isn't cool and those type of fights will always shorten your career. You saw it with guys like Tim Bradley retiring early because of that Ruslan fight.
I never watched the 2nd fight but I heard Leo won very comfortably. Probably shouldn’t have a 3rd fight. The 1st fight was very close, Carl just about nicked it. But could have been a draw or Leo nicking it too. Better to fight other guys like Selby.
I mean anyone with a brain could have told you that. But his team should have 100% refused to let him fight Canelo. You have to have your fighters best interest at heart. But I guess they were willing to take the risk to make some big money.
I'd like to see anymore than a handful of ACTUAL clean effective punches that Tyson Fury landed on Wlad the entire fight.
Excluding taps and touches without significant power landed by Fury on Wlad's body, Tyson Fury didn't do anything 'EFFECTIVE' to win the fight offensively. Wlad had barely any damage from punches by Tyson Fury. Wlad was never close to getting dropped by any punches by Tyson Fury and I don't think he was even stunned at any point during their fight.
So although Tyson Fury neutralized Wlad, offensively, he himself was horrible. Neither guy landed anything more than a handful of actual damaging punches. The rest were all taps and touches by Fury.
So going by clean and effective punches (the main criteria of judging a boxing bout), the fight should've been called a draw.
On the other hand, Anthony Joshua inflicted far greater damage upon Wlad, which is a display of greater offensive skills which Tyson Fury seemed to lack.
He was stunned when he turned his back. And Fury tried to jump on him and Tony weeks gave Klitschko a breather.
Always felt like he was going to fight Adonis. Adonis has been ducking his mandatory for years, so I can see him not fighting Alvarez. Why fight Bivol, when you can fight Adonis - who is now the only legitimate champ at 175 and he is still the lineal champ, he beat the guy that beat the guy.
I’m a big fan of Taylor and think he could clean up at 140 but how the f*ck is he a prospect?? He’s a world ranked fighter, he’s just beat Miguel Vasquez FFS. Teofimo Lopez, Ryan Garcia, Josh Kelly etc are prospects, calling Taylor a prospect is ridiculous IMO
Before the Ohara Davies fight he was definitely a prospect. After beating Miguel Vazquez, he’s now contender/world level and should look to fight for world title in 2018.
Why do fans always say this? As if boxing isn't means for this man to make a living.
As if he would turn down Garcia. It's prizefighting. He's not a popular champion even in Britain with its boxing renaissance.
As someone else eluded to. Unfortunately Flanagan also has the personality of a door knob. I am assuming this dude genuinely can't make the weight because I can't see where the money is for him.
I've never seen Hooker fight but I am assuming he could beat Flanagan if he is a good world-level fighter.
Apparently Darley Perez beat hooker but they robbed him of the win.
Parker is a one dimensional bum. Looks like he's gonna pull a Billy Joe Saunders with his belt and keep defending it against other bums.
He's got a pretty decent resume now. Takam, Ruiz, Dimintrenko, Fury.
Exactly. He needed top rank to win a purse bid to get a fight
He did have fights lined up with his promoter, Yvon michel. But for whatever reason they didn't or haven't happened. The Barrera fight was supposed to happen but the money was terrible for Barrera, think it was like 50-60k. That fight fell through and he fought Shabransky instead. Then he was supposed to fight Koelling for a while but then Artur had some issues with his promoter, Yvon Michel. Think he's going to fight Koelling soon for Vacant ibf world title.
So happy for George, he deserves this. Now hopefully unification with Degale. Props to Chudinov, what a chin! But the ref had to save him from himself, nearly a minute of hard clean unanswered shots. Good stoppage. And the New
Congrats Spence. How Kell survived Round 10 I don't know, best round of the fight for sure. Hopefully we get the Thurman Spence fight next, the winner will be no.1 in the welterweight division. I don't know if it was the same Eye that Golovkin damaged, but they should of never taken that fight. The damage golovkin did to him has ruined his eye, it will be a permanent reccuring issue in future fights, just like it was with Margarito and Matthyse. Kind of disappointed in the trajectory of his career since he won the belt. Hearn partly to blame for not delivering the right big fights at the right time.
50/50 fight
Shame no one cares about either...both flattered to deceive against AJ
Breazeale gave it good go against Joshua. Was just too slow to cause Joshua any problems. Unlike the other two, Molina and Martin, who did nothing. Didn't even try.
