I would put Ivan Drago over Clubber Lang and would put both of them higher on this list.
By the way, I once heard a conversation where two people were talking about who would win in a fight between Superman and the Incredible Hulk. I thought they were geeks at the time but I guess I can't point any fingers now.
I agree that I could put them higher, but since Drago never the heavywieght title, that's a factor, IMO, plus he only had two pro fight, one against Rocky and once against Apollo, all his other fights were amuature fights, and Lang's awful technique puts him low, cause guys like Ali and Tyson would've beaten him easily, IMO.
Apollo Creed would beat Ali and Louis. comparable hand speed to Ali but alot more power.
yea that's true, but for some reason I just can't see Creed beating either Ali or Louis, it just doesn't seem right, but Creed would give them both hell. I actually see both Ali and Louis get a close decison against Creed, there's no way either of them are going to KO Creed, I don't care how hard Louis hit.
Joe Frazier would ruin Rocky Balboa.
I agree that Frazier would beat Rocky, I was trying to make my list realistic by mixing in the characters along with real top 20 heavywieght lists. which is not that easy to do.
Those rocky movies are ridiculous.
no they're not! :D
Rocky isn't top 20 material.
He had an extremely poor record before he beat an old Creed by 1 second and then fought nothing but bums until he was beat by the one dimensional Lang.
Balboa, Drago and Lang don't deserve to be top 20.
how does Balboa and Lang not deserve top 20, I mean I can understand about Drago, but Balboa and Lang? Balboa was a two-heavyweight champion, and Lang won the title himslef, and scored all of his wins by KO, and so what if Rocky's record has alot losses, look at Jim Braddock, he has quite a bit, and he's one of the greatest heavyweights of all time. Also, when Rocky fought Creed, Creed was not old, he was considered old in Rocky III and IV.
ok, it was fun at first with the Rocky fanasty fights and the fanasty rankings, but this is pretty stupid, it's a great movie, and just enjoy it as that, but don't take it seriously, like how you're doing.
I'm not taking it seriously, I know it's only a movie, but it's intresting to think what boxing would really be like if all those fighters were real.
This thread needs some montage action
sweet, thanks for posting them, the Rocky III montage was always favorite, that one always got me pumped up.
this one is awesome too:

EDIT Rocky beat Drago and then retired which would change it to 1994 Drago 1995 Balboa and then Lewis would be pushed up to WBC champ for the 2nd half of 95-96.
good linage, seems better than what I had.
