Nope I'm going to act like I have the 1st time a Mayweather-Pacquiao fight came on the radar, and that's that it would be a fairly one-sided fight in Mayweather's favour. Just always thought Pacquiao would struggle against an extremely talented defensive fighter who is going to pick his openings very carefully, and wait for his openings. Mayweather's probably the most precise puncher in the sport, even if the shots don't always land with too much venom. Think Mayweather's lateral movement, shoulder rolling from Pacquiao's attacks etc. would make for a mini schooling. People bag on Mayweather's opposition, but I also think that Pacquiao's career above 130 has been handled like a chess board. Joshua Clottey could have potentially been tricky if he hadn't gone in there with the mentality of a journeymen, just wanting to survive the full 12. Cotto and Margarito were coming off devastating losses. Neither are very defensively astute anyway. He did well against Mosley, but then again you never know which Mosley is going to show up. Marquez just knows how to fight Pacquiao's style, and it's always fun to watch. De La Hoya just looked ill even before the 1st bell. Now I know you can pick apart any record, but I just didn't see anyone above 130 who Pacquiao has fought having a tricky style. I won't bag too much on either fighter, they've both achieved a lot in this sport, that's just an honest assessment. Fair enough, need more posts like this and less blatant bias and hate.

Let's look at who Manny has fought the last 3 years. DLH- weight drained and struggled against journeymen Steve Forbes, yes Steve Forbes in his previous fight. DLH was a dead man walking. Hatton- this is a good win although Floyd already KO'd him Cotto- stupid needless catch weight and Cotto was damaged after the Margarito fight, still his best win in years though Clottey- just lost his last fight to Cotto and what has Clottey ever done, ho hum win meaningless Margarito- another stupid catch weight fight, Margarito was coming off a suspension and a shaky win against the legendary Robert Garcia Mosley- :rofl::rofl: Marquez- people thought he would blow out the 38 year old lightweight, yet the general consensus seems to be that he lost the fight. What is so impressive about this? Yeah his opponents have been bigger, but they were also slower and either past prime or shot and mostly came off bad performances. the version of cotto pac fought was a bad version..cotto came in at catch weight...cotto got whooped by margarito...cotto came to the fight with no proper coach..sandiago wasn't even ready to coach an amateur let alone cotto..he had no plan B in the fight..pac fought the worst version of cotto..everyone knows that. Pac also fought the worst version of margarito...marga lost to mosley big time...marga has never been the same since they discovered his plaster wraps..he also came in at a catch weight..in the fight he looked very bad...he was slow and drained..every time he threw the jab it was so slow... But all I'm saying is it's stupid to discredit Pacquiao for what he's done. Whether you think he looks good only against certain types of fighters or not, you seem to be forgetting how hard he dominated them. If being able to adjust in the ring is a skill which Pac has problems with, then being able to take advantage and exploit your opponents which he does masterfully is one as well.
