Indeed. His brother Shane said in an IFL Interview today that Tyson never had a World class trainer before. Sugar Hill was the first one. Fury looks better with this style than the previous defensive style.
Fury trained under Emmanuel Stewart and didn't really have a defensive style...first people really saw that was when he took the belts off Vlad.
There are videos of Emmanuel predicting Fury being the dominant heavyweight from 2012.
Haven't ever been really impressed with Dubois as yet, big lad and powerful, appears slightly less stiff than Joyce, but that's not saying much.
He always seems to look worried in his corner to me no matter how well the fight is going.
DDD v JJ - Battle of the punch drunk consonants could be interesting, but I cant see either ever causing any problems for the Top HW's.
Dubois has time on his side, but I just cant see it tbh.
I get the impression that Jay Deas wouldn't give two ****s if he went out in a body bag tbh.
Hopefully the guys that carry his corpse don't have skinny chicken legs that get tired or they might not make it out of the venue.
They could use weighted vests to practise.
Just what is in that Mexican beef and where can I buy some tbh?!
Smith has some bollocks on him to stand up in there, body shots sound like getting hit by a roided up angry man with a cricket bat.
Was a good fight, that punch has broken something and you're not going to send a fighter that cant see back out against one of the best P4P's of all time with a history of dining on cows that sprint faster than Michael Johnson and who seems to somehow have bricks for fists.
Thought BJS was giving a good account of himself, I don't think he was hurt, but he would have been seriously, going out again with one eye.
Which fighter got the most support and hype just because of his skin colour?
Who was the least technically skilled African American boxing World Champion of all time?
Which fighter got whooped worse than a runaway slave and put in hospital 2 and a half years after writing a man off at his worst point publically and calling him finished?
Joyce's pressure and solid chin would make a good style match against Fury.
John McDermott caused Fury probs just by pressure, and Joyce is way better that JMc.
Edit: And Fury is hardly a massive puncher - that'd be a good clash.
If you're talking about Hughie, maybe...Tyson would box the head off Joyce relatively easily IMO!
Comparing Fury now to the Fury that fought John McDermott is for me a bit silly though, back then Tyson was much more of an inside fighter and his style has changed considerably since.
Joe Joyce is being hyped for a payday, his long Amatuer career has made him punch drunk and I can't honestly see him troubling many of the best at Heavyweight at all.
They're playing up to this Terminator thing as he boxes like he has splints on his arms, I've rarely seen a boxer look less fluid/more stiff than Joyce.
Someone should have told Del Boy that you normally can't duck under uppercuts...
...haven't seen so many uppercuts in a fight in a long time. Chisora mashed up again, hang the gloves up ffs.
Hitting the guy twice when he was down is what ultimately won Sheeraz the fight. Skeete should have been given a lot more time to recover. The rules of this sport need to change.
Interested to see the scoring.
Big 'Pillow Fists' gets another utterly brutal KO.
Dillian's not fit to lace his gloves, would still like to see Fury rough up AJ for a while before putting his fucking lights out.
Not that bothered about Usyk, don't think he'd even be a challenge and think he would be outpointed if Usyk tried to outbox him if he didn't end up unconscious.
Would love unification before retirement just to crown the comeback story. What a boxer he is.
