He keeps it for his trophy case/collection. When you see a title change hands, for tv purposes, the belt is handed to the winner but after they return to the locker room the belt is returned to the rightful owner.
Hard to believe they would let an amatuer bout go on with such a wide weight disparity. Also, in the amatuers, where headgear is used, it is hard to get cut, especially over the eyes. Sometimes the headgear makes it hard to see since it protects the eyes too well. I've never known an amatuer to get cut over the eye(s). Never! But that's just me.
Yo Jose, one question:
I watched you interview Jim Lampley a while back. You talked about Roy Jones getting knocked out, etc.. Can you tell me why at the end of the interview, Lampley said that he will not miss having Foreman as a guest analyst? Did they have beef? What's the story?
I thought that Foreman was a damn good commentator.
I remember that night because, believe it or not, that was my first night doing video interviews. That night Trinidad stopped Mayorga and I ran into Jim Lampley across the street from the Garden at or around 2am. Honestly, I don't know what, if any, beef they had. I actually didn't think that was the answer I would get but when I did it seemed like a good way to end it. I have spoken to Lampley, Merchant & I'm good friends with Harold Lederman but I never persued that story/answer. Sorry.
OnFire which fighter that you interview spits the most BS to you that you see right through ? I have my opinion, just wondering who you think it is.
Look at your pathetic ass trying to turn a positive Q&A into something negative. Grow up with your peurile antics.
i heard about u onfire u interviews so many boxers its a honor and we share the same zodiac sign :O lol.
Im gna go amatuer then possibly pro but im aiming to do the best i can do this season next year il know if i got what it takes to go pro.
Currently not fought amatuer yet but i am in training.
Thanks, I appreciate the kind words. Yea, we're bulls and we don't bull shhhh. Best of luck on your boxing dreams.
that f'd up. was a serious q. You do great interviews. nice meeting you.
Thanks, I appreciate it but you're trying to get me to burn a bridge. Even if I though someone was full of BS that I see right through, that's my opinion as a fan not something I want to put out there when I do my interviews.
What do you think Ngoujo's (sp) chances are this weekend? I know he had a close fight with Castillo and I think he beat or maybe stoppped Randal baily. Can this kid upset the Magic Man? Seems he has some potential.
I believe Malignaggi boxes circles around Ngodujo but we'll see.
Yeah, he talked super major crap before Cotto whooped his ass and broke his face, now he talks a little less. He's aight though, whoever lasts 12 rounds against "El Angel" deserves to be admired.
You think he talks a little less? I guess you haven't seen a Malignaggi video in some time huh? Visit the video section and look for the two latest videos where he talks about Demetrius Hopkins & the other about Herman Ngodujo. Enjoy.
Yeah Cotto definitley does all his talking in the ring. I wasnt a big Paulie M fan til after the Cotto fight. I didnt even see the fight live. I just heard that he was dropped, survived and gave as much as he took. I actually saw the OnFire /Paulie interview when he was still healing from the orbidal(sp) bone injury, before I even saw the fight. He impressed me then, and ofcourse again when I saw the actual fight.
I believe even in losing, his stock went up. Then after Cotto stopped Judah, his stock went up even higher. Funny how that works.
do you know if any one is gonna upload this documentry i wanna see it,or is it for sale any where?
I don't know that it's for sale just yet because Showtime just bought it but they will be replaying it all week on Showtime Extreme and Showtime Too leading up to Paulie Malignaggi's fight on Showtime.
Yes he did and right after Bob Arum said he wouldn't put him in with Manny Pacquiao because Guzman was running. Really? More like Guzman was performing. He did his thing. I gave you all at Boxingscene the exclusive interview afterwards. Hope you all enjoyed it.
Yeah, i believe that too. I like what Paulie says in your interview though.' I aint one for moral victories, I wanted to win the fight"..
that kid impresses me more every interview. he like to talk to hype up fights, be he's honest, keeps it real IMO
He definitely knows how to mix his words. They actually used one of our interviews in the movie "Magic Man" where he said "I'ma slice em up, dice em up, break em up" in regards to Cotto.
