a spence floyd fight in 2015 was never a realistic possibility. he had zero star power and had barely been on tv. floyd definitely did not make his decision on who to fight based on the reaction or comments of someone else. if that was the case he would have fought prime cotto, marg, pac etc..when everyon was saying he was ducking and laughing at his crappy opponents. also it sounds like the interviewer laughed at both opponents since they were both bad choices. berto was bad because he was over the hill and not good. spence for a completely different reason. complete unknown but secretly very good(and floyd knew this having been beat up by him) so no way he is going to pick the guy who got the better of him in sparring for a real fight to try and prove something oh no.
As I recall fighters were not waiting for Floyd and making other fights, he WAS running out of options, he wasnt doing Manny again, GGG was never real at any weight, he didnt have much time to promote like literally time was ticking
I remember this! I think it was that time Mayweather was saying Thurman should fight Spence because Thurman was calling out Floyd and that's when the whole Thurman-Spence thing started.
This was around that time, but Thurman started talking Mayweather because Guerrero got a shot at Money just by talking mess, completely unproven at Welterweight and Thurman was mad, he started talking like "I burn Money" ... Floyd was not for that.

I hear you, but to me Thurman had 2 clear cut wins albeit close... Porter has had chances and has failed to have clear wins. I do agree with the last statement about crawford and spence resume... even though I thought Spence going to England to fight was a defining victory against Brook who was very strong.

I think Pac is on his last year for sure, Crawford is given too much credit IMO, Porter just lost IMO, DSG is a good win from going up a tier.
I think Spence is the man to beat because of Thurman being out for some time.

I live in Vegas too, and I think May does way more bad than good here. He has the Tupac syndrome. One day he's gonna try and bully someone that don't care, this town is full of them. He is arogant in public no matter what. Look at what he did over a guy texting him saying he wished he lost, maybe he didn't shoot at the guy personally, but he was involved without a doubt, look at the type of people he attracts, remember the guys that broke into his house and stole his chains??? I don't doubt your stories, but I could care less about how he is during his personal life. That's his time and he's entitled to it.
I'm talking about how he portrays himself to the public, on camera. That's all. I know two little interviews is hardly proof of a 180 degree turnaround, but like I said, I truly believe he is a good guy at heart.
I remember watching him fight here in San Francisco, I believe it was around 2001, and he was at the Bill Graham signing autographs and shooting the shit with the fans for at least 2 hours after the fight.

Where is her store? If it's off the strip, people are used to seeing him around, he doesn't get mobbed like you might think. I ran into him at the red rock bowling alley which is big and no one bothered him. Some guys on here think I'm lying when I say he is a C class celeb here. He goes to the Sun Coast all the time to put his bets in... he don't get mobbed. If you live on the Southwest side of town you see Zab all the time. Sh!t people that live here don't get all surprised when they see famous people. But May loves acting a fool, talking smack, everyone around Summerlin knows his cars, where he lives, where he trains etc.

This is the real Floyd. The bad guy image is all bullshit, and its a shame that his style of fighting never got him the attention that he deserved, so he had to resort to the role playing.

Summerlin ain't that big kid. He lives less than a mile from where I work, and less than 2 from where I lived for 6 years. How many walmarts, Albertsons, Hollywood Videos, McDonalds, restaurants, Targets, are usually within a 2-3 mile radius????
