Regardless of the bell or not it was an insane stoppage and the UK refs are always the ones with these insane stoppages. There is no way you can stop that even if its still 2 minutes to go. He was down yes but he just threw some punches back and Usyk was missing almost every shot in the final sequence. Its still boxing. If they not corrupt they incompetent so either way boxing loses as long as UK refs are allowed to be in the ring for high level fights.

So much to only 50/50 fights. Zuffa puts on a bunch of mismatches or a 50/50 fight between unknown guys. ProboxTV does 100 times better than them. Usyk came in heavier than he ever has, and was way more casual going into this fight. He obviously saw this as an easy cash grab, and took it easy in training and focus as a result. If a rematch were to ever happen (please, no, for the love of all that is Holy, please no), Usyk would focus in and the levels would show. Usyk escaped. Fine, it happens. Enjoy cashing the check and then get back to it, Defend against Kabayel and give the fight the focus it deserves. Beat him, maybe than take on Itauma. Beat those two, no one will care what happened against this kick boxer that never should have been in the same ring as him. And who takes care of Rico? Someone has to clean up that mess. DDD seems like the right man to do it or what about Itauma

Anybody who watched the fight without getting caught up in the excitement would have heard Fury between rounds after 8 tell Rico that it was even out there and that he needed to win more rounds. He was as close to the action as it gets and saw the subtllties of the bout. Dont let propoganda fool.you. usyk did what he always does. Took his licks...fought through...and found a way to win. Its time now to give the real contender his shot and stop the real ducking. It is just human nature that all these people that are stunned by what they see are not judging the fight based on what is going on but on what they thought is going to happen against what is actually happen, so what comes out is that people only saw what Rico did and somehow he clearly won 8 out of 10 rounds but the reality was it was actually super close and the round by rounds punch stats reflected that as well and also somehow different than usually with controversial scorecards all 3 of the judges had been almost aligned on the rounds. The judging was not terrible at all i had it 6-4 Rico but could be 5-5 but all that being said the Ref was absolute terrible that was a disgrace and for sure it was a UK ref. This needs to stop they ruin it for everyone the fighters and actually both fighters the one losing and the one winning who is also robbed of putting a decisive ending to it + all fans. Lets start banning ref from big time fights and start with this r*tard and put Howard Foster and Mark Bates on that list as well. I'm so tired of UK refs. They have great fighters but the worst Refs ever.

Here we go. At this point i call that karma for taking that circus fight. Usyk said he always did what they wanted and now he deserves this fight clearly viewing it as an easy fight like we all did but Usyk did not prepare like he should have and did not even came in with a coach instead he had some kid as his coach and now he deserves all this backlash. Vacate the titles and give Rico the rematch and then fight Ngannou and Perreira. Itauma vs Hrgovic winner should fight Kabayel and the winner of that fights DDD.

I saw the initial matchup Pacheco vs Sheeraz and was like damn, both of them are ready to ante up. It was a major fight to me - but, in the end, it was really Sheeraz who was ready to go all-in. Pacheco rearranged his whole team after that fallout. But tI see a lot of UK commenters online saying Hamza is a fraud, but the more I see, the more I think he can be a star if things keep tracking. Can't say I rate the fight that just happened all that much, I'm just speaking overall. I like the confidence of the Pacheco matchup even if it didn't go through. His back is starting to fill in at the new weight, still a lot that can be done physically. The left hook is flicking effortlessly now, he's got snap. Add a 45 like Oscar and that's another tool. I'd love to see Hamza v Benavidez someday Sheeraz vs Benavidez is not smart. Benavidez operates at the highest level which is like 3 levels above Sheeraz even if he fulfills his full potential. Sheeraz now would get stopped very early against Benavidez. Sheeraz needs to fight a top 10 guy to prove he really improved since the Adames loss. He could fight Adames at 168 to prove that. 168 is a weak division since Benavidez and Morrell left and Sheeraz can definetly benefit from it but first we need to see all these guys fight each other Iglesias might be the best of all he could fight him or maybe lester martinez both are good step ups.

The boxing haters are ignoring the fact that Rico has been trained by John Fury for 14 years and has sparred and trained with boxers throughout that time period. So no, he didn't simply just step into a boxing ring for the first time He trained with Peter Fury and yes he did train with Boxers and boxing like any other Kickboxer and MMA fighter does. Nothing special and nothing unusual. What you say yesterday was the exact same thing that we already saw between Fury vs Ngannou but somehow the fans view on it are dramatically different. Fury and Usyk made a mockery of the sport simple as that.

The Verhoeven I have seen can be top 5 in hw boxing today easily. And Itauma can be #1 if he's given the chance. Or Kabayel before he's too old. And where is Ngannou in your ranking top 3 or top 5? Lets match Verhoeven with DDD and see how that plays out.

I had Usyk winning two rounds convincingly before the 11th, as did most people who were scoring this fight. So lets say it goes to round 12 and you score the 11th round a 10-7 in favor of Usyk. Rico would be ahead 105-103 going into the final round. With as hurt and shaken as he was, Usyk in my eyes would need to knock him down again for a draw. And hurt him repeatedly including a KD in order to get a 10-7 which would win him the fight in everyone's eyes. Just a hypothetical. What it really says is that for most people this would have been extremely exciting to find out if Rico was given the chance. The ref screwed up. I love the staredowns between Holyfield and Mike Tyson right before they two fights. If i remember correctly the one you have there is from the second fight. These staredowns showed the difference between Holyfield and Tyson. Holyfield was an iron willed individual who cant be intiminated. Mike on the other hand was always afraid and tried to build a persona that protects him and scared people but he knew Holyfield is the real deal when it came to being a tough savage and he looked intiminated especially in their first fight. All that said i like Mike and Holyfield and happy for Mike he turned his life around.

Only positive about last night is that the whole world once again could see how terrible UK Refs are. I said it before i will say it again. UK Refs are not only corrupt they are incompetent even if they try they cant get it right. UK gives boxing so much but please just remove these UK Refs they can do amateur fights in the UK but just ban them from every higher level fight please.

Rico is a nice guy and he always was. Rico is also a strong guy who is mentally tough he always was. But Rico is pillow fisted he lacks one punch KO power and it showed during his Glory days and thats why he was a decision monster who was unfairly critized. Mark my words Rico will not be successful in his next boxing fight. Every boxer with a bit of sense should jump on that opportunity and repeat what AJ did against Ngannou while Rico is believed to be an elite Heavyweight now and Ngannou was even more known for having an Iron chin before AJ stopped him in quick fashion. The like of Itauma, DDD or even guys like Opetaia and Benavidez should really grab that golden ticket and use the hype. All of them will put a demolishion job on him and can claim we did what Usyk couldnt.

These modern day HWs keep making a mockery out of the sport. Usyk was gassed by round 4, had no footwork the whole fight, no energy, was just standing there lazy absorbing shots and resting in the clinch. Everything that makes him great was not there. He not even had his coach with him did he just thought he comes from the coach with zero focus and knocks him out? Only thing Rico has is durability so you gonna break him down. Usyk better retires because this version will not survive 5 rounds against any top heavyweight and also not against Benavidez or Opetaia. Let Benavidez fight Rico and show people what a 50 pound lighter boxer with a ship on his shoulder will do to Rico.

Sooner this crap is over the better, damn shame for the fans that the heavyweight champion (who only boxes once in a blue moon) gets the choice to fight this pushover. Also Sheeraz getting a can as an opponent is a joke, way to halt his career after that Berlanga victory an age ago. Sheeraz and Usyk getting these type of opponents as world title fights is really putting boxing in a bad light.

Piss poor gameplan Giyasov. Everyone that just abandons the jab and goes in for big single shots will be schooled by Catteral. Barboza showed a good jab will trouble Catteral.

This makes it more obvious that Kabayel is the most deserving challenger. Politics need to be set aside and give this man a shot ! Only problerm Kabayel beat a guy who couldnt even limp properly. Sanchez should never had been in the ring that night.

Didnt know Tani but i knew Lapin is really bad and will not reach world level. He just dont has it, nothing about him is even decent from footwork to handspeed to power it is all average at best and today he showed zero punch resistance.

Rico will stop Usyk. He will dominate with his jab and use his superior cardio and strenght to constantly overpower Usyk. He will use all his special kickboxing angles that no boxer ever saw before and he will drop Usyk multiple times before Usyk retires on his stool. Rico will go on to dominate the division for the next 3-4 years before age catches up to him.

"I showed it against an expierenced champion" Well people say Barrios might be the worst Champion ever but this is bs it's the likes of Gualtieri that are taking these spots. How did that guy ver won a world title. I know he won a vacant won against a complete nobody and lost it right away in his next fight but still this guy should never become close to world title shot even in a weak middleweight era he was never even close to being top 15.

So Andy Ruiz cant be ready that "quick"? He said himself he stays in shape to wait for a big fight. Whatever that means since he was never ever in shape during his whole career. But honestly Andy Riuz was outboxed by AJ and he made AJ look like prime Ali in there his hands are quick but his feet are fat and slow. So if you want a easy tune up then yes go for Andy.

With Morrell getting stopped I thought this might happen. Eddie must’ve thought what a stroke of luck, time to slide Smith right into a title shot. But Bivol should fight Benavidez instead, or at the very least after this warm up. Shame Beterbiev didn’t get his rematch but honestly not bothered about seeing that one again, I’d rather see him face Benavidez too or even make his way up to Cruiserweight. He always looks tight at 175lbs. I know Bivol recently talked about Cruiser but in my opinion he has the frame of a 168 pound fighter and he always insisted he can make the weight. He was always a small 175 fighter only in his last 2 fights especially the last one he looked a little bit bigger but still small compared to guys like Morrell, Smith or even Yarde.

Bivol should have fought Benavidez when the WBC ordered the fight. At the end Bivol still didnt fight Beterbiev as he promised and he will get stripped of all his belts as well. After the Eifert fight Bivol must fight Beterbiev or Benavidez next. Why not make Bivol vs Beterbiev just to make it right with Beterbiev and on the same card Benavidez vs Smith. Winner fights winner for all the belts.

Rico has been progressively overloading on being as explosive as possible within those 5 rounds is whole career, those are not the same as 5 boxing rounds. Usyk is dealing with 120kg+ of pure menace. Pure menace? You talk about the guy that has a similiar KO percantage than Malignagi and a lower KO percantage than Mayweather. I watched enough of Ricos fight and he was never a pure Menace. I dont even remember 1 HW boxer in history who is as pillow fisted as Rico.
