Well Manny did it when Floyd offered him 40 ml which at the time was his biggest purse by far and Manny got a free pass, whats the difference here ?
The difference is that Manny didn't ask for $40 million, but A.J. specifically asked for $50 million. Understand?
All just posturing. I remember this pikey scum saying that if he was to fight AJ the financial split would be 50/50 so he's changed his tune.
Notice how Wilder hasn't said a word in respect of these negotiations.... What does that tell you people?
That he is getting a fair deal.
Lol, really? Ortiz didn't get the same privaledge. And no, Fury beat the count and outboxed Wilder.
For one, just so you know, each state in the USA has their own athletic commissions. For two, review the knockdown footage. Fury was just rising to his feet while still slumped over at 11-12 seconds. Rewatch the footage and time it yourself. I have been speaking FACTS the whole time. Not based off of emotion or how I wanted the fight to go.
They should also review those extra seconds they gave Wilder after the break when Ortiz hurt him. Change ot to a NC
There is no need for that because it is a NY concussion protocol. You have to take it up with their athletic commission. There wasn't a conspiracy on that one. Besides the deflection, do you think Tyson should have been waved off?
This is silly. What actually needs reviewing is how Tyson was allowed to get up at the count of 11 after being rendered unconscious and even after that taking another 10 seconds until the fight resumed. 21 total seconds from being dropped until the fight started back smh. Kinda reminded me of Tyson vs Douglas.
There's no rule that says the count has to be 10 seconds, it's however long it takes the ref to get to 10. You ****ing clown DKSAB.
They did a study and almost every count takes longer than 10 seconds.
LMAO You are irrational af. Ten seconds is universally known to take 10 seconds ANYWHERE and to ANYBODY except pissy little ass hurt clowns that should be celebrating a draw because it looks better on the record than a K.O. which is what it should/could have been.
Yep. He was so good at schooling him that he almost got KO'd twice.
Its funny, folks like you wanted Mayweather out of the game for fighting defensive and doing more on offense than what Fury did Saturday night.
Bravo to Fury for having a good night and doing enough to win.
I agree man! It is very interesting how folks flip-flop on what they like depending on the fighter.
You know Hearn is full of it when the percentage offer is so bad that you can't publicly state the amount of the offer. Hearn only loses out in the long run because the same fans he's attempting to sell DAZN on are the same market that he's been pissing off for the past year.
Very well said! We have been tired of his disrespect and stunts for a long time.
Not only that; Whyte seemed to imply that Fury was in no condition to fight Wilder, but apparently could give Whyte himself a good fight.
So Whyte doesn't consider himself ready for Wilder, he doesn't consider Fury ready for Wilder, but he does consider himself ready for Fury.
This ish is pure comedy. I wonder if they hear themselves. Shameful behavior if you ask me. They are trying hard as hell to keep that dimming light on themselves while not fighting the best.
It is hilarious to watch some of you guys try to spin this price hike as a great thing for the fans. Many are going to have to pay DOUBLE for the SAME amount of content that they promised was $9.99. They are trying to strongarm everyone to pay UPFRONT for fights that we may want to see in the future. I am sorry (not really), but please excuse my reluctance to pay double what I didn't think was worth half of in the first place.
Here is a novel idea.... Get the Fighters and Fights that the U.S. wants to see and then and ONLY then will you get my my and others CC #'s.
I just had a dream about this fight and wilder could not ko wilder...fury won on points
Sooooo... Fury won, because Wilder couldn't knock himself out? Ok chief.
NEW YORK (AP) — Anthony Joshua was welcomed by applause on the stage. He stood front and center, promoting his Sept. 22 bout against Alexander Povetkin.
Even there, he couldn't escape talk of the heavyweight he isn't fighting.
Someone in the crowd jumped at the opportunity and shouted, "AJ, we want Wilder!"
"Let them train to be a fighter and fight (Deontay) Wilder," Joshua told AP. "It's easy talking about it. It's another thing doing."

Yes! I will never forget that. It is on par with Bowe throwing away a belt to avoid Lewis. I have never heard a so called "champion" utter those words!
Evander Holyfield is saying a mouthful. While true, Deontay Wilder may be the least skilled out of three but at the same time he overcompensates it with sheer will, determination, honor, courage and valor.
In addition, he takes risks, he doesn't duck anyone. However, what really distinguishes and sets him apart from all the rest is his one punch game changing knockout power.
That is something that can never be taught. It's something one is born with. Thereby making him in my opinion, while agreeing with Holyfield; The best heavyweight boxer and champion in the world.
Absolutely true statements sir! For whatever reason many try to tear him down and he takes it in stride with pride knowing that with one punch he can put down ANY man on Earth. He is able to drop all these guys despite a severe weight disadvantage every fight. Imagine being a welterweight and having to fight Super middle to Cruiser weighs every fight out. They should give the man some respect.
I am happy for Fury. He deserves his deal. Goes to show how terrible Wilder's handlers are
How does that show how bad his handlers are? I think it is wise of him to stay a free agent. He is the only one with the ability to fight both Joshua and Fury. As a fan, I respect and appreciate that.
I still remember him jawing about Mayweather’s daughter on IG. And then I saw him at the strip club with Broner. Wake up call or fatal flaw...we’ll soon see.
I had forgotten about that incident with Floyd's daughter. You are right and we will see if it is a character flaw or not...
Why would Fury be fearful? We all saw Fury make Wilder look stupid for 12 rounds.
Hard to make someone look stupid for 12 rounds when you are on your back unconscious. Some of you guys romanticize how the fight actually went. You need to ask Fury, Arum, and Warren why they refused a 50/50 rematch. Fear is the factor. Hear me out on this. Why would you demand a rematch and when it is in your grasp, you tuck tail and run to Arum? He already has a promoter and were about to run back a very successful fight. If they were not afraid, they would have taken the money and "make Wilder look stupid" again right? After that, you can go do your shady dealings with Arum and at least have an actual belt to try to lure better fighters over to ESPN.
Stiverne was always a plodder but he was a lot more fit and aggressive when he fought Arreola. He looked very flat in his first fight with Wilder and he regressed even more in his fights after that.
Stiverne had power and I imagine he still does. He landed what appeared to be very clean counters against Joyce in the first round. I thought he might drop Joyce with one of them but Joe didn't look phased.
Joe is big and appears to have a good chin, he also throws alot of punches. However he is slow, stiff and leaves himself wide open for counters. I'd like to see him fight Charles Martin and/or Adam Kownacki.
I would like to see Kownacki vs Joyce. I think Joe would overwhelm Martin even though he did show some heart that was missing in the A.J. fight, in his last fight.
Damn remember when Wilder said DAZN was "trash". Either he was just hatin or maybe that's how he really felt but now he looks really silly
I believe most peoples disdain with DZN is/was due to Eddie Hearn and not the platform itself. They gained more credibility when they signed Canelo and sounds like GGG will be coming too. The factor that was omitted in those and in a Wilder deal is Eddie. They are more successful and respectable once you get fast Eddie out of the room and let the grownups talk.
Pretty simple. You asked for $50 million and you sign that day. The money is offered and still there are hangups! Just admit your guy is not ready yet ffs.
Anyone have issues with the DAZN stream? Did the whole free trial thing & it was virtually unwatchable with the pauses & buffering bs.
Good luck if you plan to cancel... I went to Google play and was considering the free trial, until I started reading the reviews. Evidently they have several kinks to work out including being able to cancel your subscription. People also complained of major lag, having to reboot the app because it crashes, etc.
No, he told you how he feels about his detractors, his fans see what’s going on or just think he’s awesome cos they’re into ‘insta’ and that’s their vibe.
People are deluded that boxing is anything other than a business, watching the recent GGG v Canelo negotiations or Wilder v AJ must be in no doubt now.
This all broke down because of DAZN, simple as that. AJ is going with the long term big bucks over foolish pride, and it’s the right thing to do from a business perspective. Doesn’t make Wilder fans happy, who cares.
Maybe you can clarify why his fans would be on board with these tactics? A lack in confidence in their fighters ability to win? Where is the honor in saying these things? Do they not want their guy to be Undisputed? Serious questions.
He probably contributed more to society when he was a drug dealer. At the moment all he is doing is holding belts that Eddie bought him hostage.
HAHAHAHAHA at least he gave the people what they wanted then! He used to sell highgrade, now he is slanging that Reggie! LMAO
Hearn is getting desperate. Finkel doesn’t feel the need to jump just because conceited Eddie feels the need to talk about an offer he can’t proudly publicly promote or proclaim!! Whyte will get his next flailing failing effort against Rich Posh Josh, Hearn will “promote” how dangerous Whyte is now for having already been in the ring with his malfunctioning robot, the fan-girls will eat it up, delirious once again with Android Mania!!...Josh will continue on the JUICE, dominate heavyweight boxing in the United Kingdom and offer free workouts for the elderly....Lennox will shake his head when seeing construction workers mid-way building Joshuas museum in Trafalgar Square, stating “I cant believe it!”...
LMAO Best comment i've seen today!
Wow I must have missed my world class Rosetta Stone translation guide on “what he actually said was” but I’m sure glad you were here to tie it into a pretzel and set us straight
These A.J. "WHISPERERS" are hilarious! The man can speak for himself and has. He just happens to be a scared coward. If Hollywood ever does a Wizard of Oz remake, I know who should be playing the cowardly lion.
